On Angelwing's website there's no sign of the Blink anymore! Will it ever come back?

I have since replaced the Rx with a *cough*cough*corona and had many enjoyable problem free flights, including many speck height flights...

We have since been in contact with other Futaba users, flying large scale models and jets. They confirmed that, according to their experiences (and crashes), the R23008SB is not compatible with the 14SG. I contacted Futaba, but so far they've been silent.

Has anyone have had any problems with their Futaba SG14 Tx and a Futaba R2008SB Rx in a F5J setup? There's 3 of us in our club with the same setup, and we all have had crashes due to erratic elevator behaviour, followed by total loss of control...

I am in shock. So, so sad. An immense loss to all. We never met, but were in contact on the various www applications. Always ready for a bit of banter and sound advice. Missing you already. My heartfelt condolences to the blond person and all the family, may you have a long, healthy life, with fond memories.

Chris Foss Phase 6 Build
Rene Wallage replied to Paul Hampshire's topic in Slope Soaring and Dynamic Soaring
I am notoriously adept in getting hinges poorly aligned, not straight, etc, resulting in badly aligned, and warped control surfaces. If I were to use pin hinges, what size should I get? -
Chris Foss Phase 6 Build
Rene Wallage replied to Paul Hampshire's topic in Slope Soaring and Dynamic Soaring
The Phase6 kit does not come with a plan (or at least the one I have lying on top of the cupboard, next in line to be build). I have the instructions if you like. -
What really ticked me of was, only one shop would ship to me, at 160 Pounds. I know the size and weight of the parcel. It's 4cm too big to use regulare UK Parcel Post. I've checked various courier services. As a private individual, prices range from 55 to 145 Pounds. Not 160. And if you have a contract with a courier service, you get discounts. Right, getting of my soapbox now.

Cambria funfighter to PSS?
Rene Wallage replied to Rene Wallage's topic in Slope Soaring and Dynamic Soaring
Which Cambria(n) are the better slopers? Are they both similar in build (i.e. foam laminated wings)? Not much info about the models on the Cambria (without n) website. -
Cambria funfighter to PSS?
Rene Wallage replied to Rene Wallage's topic in Slope Soaring and Dynamic Soaring
I may be having a senior moment here... Are there Cambria (without "n") funfighters, and Cambrian (with "n") funfighters? -
Hi, I am trying to find Chris Foss dealers outside the UK. I'm thinking of getting a Phase 6, but postage from the UK is silly expensive. On Chris Foss's website there is no mention anywhere, and no email address to contact. Only a phone/fax number that I've tried several times, without success. Can anybody help, please?

Has anybody ever converted a Cambria funfighter to PSS slope soarer?

A friend of mine (no, really) is looking for the plans, or kit, or kit & plans of the E3D of Garry Wright. It's an old one, from the late '90s, early 00's Can anyone point us in the right direction please?

Has anyone build and/flown the Tailless Speedy Bee? Sarik is selling the plans and a wood kit, and I am intrigued... Can't find anything about her on the www.

Göppingen Gö-1 Wolf
Rene Wallage replied to Rene Wallage's topic in Gliders and Gliding - General Discussion
Thanks! I have the article (and the plan), but there are not many build pictures there. -
Has anybody build the Go-1 Wolf from the (I think) December 2018 free plan? I see Sarik is now selling the wood parts, and am sorely tempted. Problem is, there's no towing done over here, and our slope landing areas are only good for foamies, or anything you don't mind getting dented/scratched/mangled, etc. So I am thinking of adding a *gasp* motor in the nose. (I know...I'll go and stand in the corner for an hour when I've posted this...) I've seen some scale gliders in the Alps that had motors, and if you can combine the prop color with the nose color it's nearly not visible... So, build pictures anyone?

Electrifying a 120cm chuck glider
Rene Wallage replied to Rene Wallage's topic in Power System Selection
The fitting of RC components is not a problem. I am well versed in that. I have no experience in powering a glider this size. Hence my quest for advise what to use as powertrain... Edited By Rene Wallage on 09/08/2019 07:52:37
