  1. Using the same concept, but in a slightly different way. Bit of an after thought really. I was gonna have the canopy fixed but I'm getting the scale bug, so have had to put the Rails in afterwards. I am pretty chuffed that I managed to cut the groove in the brass strip by hand, with nothing clamped. Hopefully I can merge the same thing into tail fin? Must admit, I would be clueless without your blog Danny. I'm really enjoying this. Just a bit at a time.
  2. Colin, I placed some tracing paper against the tail and traced the general shape, transferred it onto some lihoand went from there. As Danny says, give it a go, it's great stuff to work with. Love it!
  3. I didnt fancy all that sanding down, so I had a go with some liho plate, and this is the outcome!! Well chuffed because I've not used it before
  4. Thanks for that Danny, however, as ever, una pregunta mas? Why did you mix resin with the filler on the tail fairing, can I not do the fairing with the filler on it's own?
  5. Danny, can you tell me where did you get the aluminum runners for the sliding canopy from? Cheers John
  6. Absolutely brilliant Danny, if mine is half as good I will be well pleased. I was just gonna build a stock. Chippy for flying purposes, but you've inspired me, although I'm not going the whole hog, I've decided to put some effort into it. I bought some rib tapes from Mick Reeves, and I must say I've enjoyed putting them on! Iron on covering is my least enjoyable part of this hobby, but these have not been a chore. Well done on a fabulous job
  7. Phew!! I was racking my brains as to how to cut it too size. Many thanks John
  8. Whoops, don't think the photo was supposed to be that big?
  9. Hi Danny, can you tell me if the gap between the Fuz and the vowel is supposed to be so large?
  10. Surface Donald, Ronseal woodfill sounds good ED! Thanks guys.
  11. I'm struggling trying to get a good filler that doesn't crack, any suggestions for a good filler would be more than welcome! Thanks John
  12. Ohh, forgot to put a photo of my box on!!
  13. Hi Danny, thanks for the photo, I sent a reply but I've just noticed it didn't come through? At the start of your blogyou said you were going to use a 4240 motor, is that the motor you've stuck with and do you think it will be big enough? Thanks John
  14. Biggles, have you a link for the sound system from Banggood please?
  15. Hi Danny, photo of a couple of weeks work on the Chippie, must say I think I would only have managed half of this had I not had your build to refer too? Moving on th the Fuz now and wondered if you could tell what dimensions you have for the battery box, and what thickness ply you used? Kind regards John
  16. Let me think for a nanosecond Mark!!! Oh yea it might be 4?
  17. Thanks, Danny. It's great to do a build and read about all the pitfalls to avoid, and to follow the best practices. I stick my tablet on the worktop and its like having an instuctor looking over my shoulder. Thanks John
  18. Hi Danny, got my kit today, got all the wood electrics and everything else needed for the build, apart from the formica hinges, can you tell me where you got the material for yours please? Thanks John
