  1. Well, I tried them all with no success! Ended up sanding it all off. Not sure what it’s made of, but it’s tough and very sticky. ( Product is called ‘Coverloc ‘ by five star adhesives) Even tried enamel thinners, and petrol, just softened it into a sticky mush. All off now, will try to remedy properly over the weekend. Just in case anyone is wondering, it’s the nose of an A400M, from abs so not a small area, fuselage diameter is about 12”. Will post a few pics another time. I’m off to munch on some lettuce.
  2. Holy crap! Just re read my post! Apologies, I mean balsa loc! Thanks for the info guys, much appreciated. Will try small sections of different remedies, see what works best.
  3. Any ideas what’s the best way to remove balsamic left behind after removing covering? It’s on abs abs nosecone, so worried about chemicals or heat. Used it to hold down covering on some concave bits around windows, bit it looks awefull, so want to remove it and use paint instead.
  4. I'm the friend of Shauns with the Canadian system in his lanc. I have had issues with the visatron speakers blowing in mine, however, they have now been upgraded to these, at half the price, & no problems so far. The audio isnt on full volume yet, as the model has only had 3 flights, so still setting up, plus the sound files that came with the system were all but useless, so I made my own. These still need a bit of tweaking, but will get there in the end. would have been nice to buy a stytem that didn't need months of fiddling to get right though...
  5. Have used these for a while, brilliant! You can buy the crimpers on their own, or a kit with connectors/wire etc, either futaba or jr type.. **LINK**
  6. This year, I plan the following - Finish & fly my 10ft Lancaster Pass my BMFA test Find a decent balanced 89mm spinner for my Tucano Manage more than 3hrs slepp while camping at Weston Park
  7. I too used Fastlad recently, or tried to.. I was working in the area, and spotted their ad in a magazine, showing huge warehouse, lots of stock etc. So I called in as i needed some piano wire/pushrod wire. Asking at the counter, this got me a blank expression, and a 'whats that?' You know, stiff steel wire, used for servo linkages and suchlike, was my reply. 'mmm no, we don't keep that sort of thing mate, a bit specialist. we might be able to order some for you?' As i was walking out, i looked around.. everything very well laid out, big displays, full of pre sealed branded packets & boxes, no real accessories to be seen. So, more of a 'spares warehouse' than a proper modellers shop, i feel. @import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);
