Remember the bit where they discover that the aircraft designer among them actually had only designed model aircraft? Whhhhaaaaaatttt!!! I was 1/2 way through this one!!!

  9. zoom in on huntingdon then woodhurst to see the airfield on the map....
  10. the redline plans, only go round the buildings next to the strip, not the strip itself. i.e. theres no proposed buildings on the area of the strip. The plans showing the proposed development can be viewed in the local authorities website, on the link i provided above.
  11. I haven't been to the strip itself (I'm going nearby this sunday), so i don't know if there is flying going on? And I know there has been discussions and statements made re: new housing on RAF Wytons website, however i was investigating what is proposed on the local authorities planning website, and there is no planning applications on the airfield strip itself? Just the nearby buildings. Am I missing something? Will the strip remain?
  12. Posted by Simon Ward 2 on 25/06/2015 20:26:25: Hi Scruffmeister, just checked my Wot 4 Mk3 wing and it's perfectly flat on the top surface. The wing panels do taper, root to tip, which is giving you this effect. Here's mine, sorry for the wonky pic. Simon. Is that a copper coloured covering i see? Or red? Your into cycling then?

  14. I too started RC in my teens, but when i left home for uni my modelling career had to stop. As living in a uni halls it wasnt practical, also i could not get to any out of town to get to decent clubs...anyway i didnt have the cash or time, as i was studying or recovering.. FF 10 years (or so) and i returned to the hobby as it was always at the back of my mind, and the models were at the back of my dads shed. I now have the spare cash and time and I have a drawing to it....just ilove every thing about it.. 16. Posted by Erfolg on 23/06/2015 20:50:13: It appears it is mostly a personal import into the USA, with a single or may be a couple of home traders. I am tempted by a personal import although in the UK it could be expensive route. Edited By Erfolg on 23/06/2015 20:52:44 Edited By Erfolg on 23/06/2015 20:55:07 Thinking of that would it be possible or practical on this forum to suggest to group purchases a batch of US models of whatever, and import them in as a batch, would it work out cheaper than personal import?
  17. All doom and gloom.... Its enough to put me right of this hobby if theres no future in it.....
  18. I suppose another way of cracking this is to think of 1/1 scale is 100, 1/4 scale is 25, 1/5 scale is 20.... So what would you multiple 20 bt the get 25? 1.25 Is that easier?
  19. Sory i didnt explain.. I look at it the other way round.. What would i multiple 1/4 by to get 1/5.. Ie id multiple 4 by 1.25 to get 5. Just as well im not a teacher.....
  20. Has the Hobby Stores website gone down, can anyone else get the website open?
