  1. Well like most i plumped for 'competent'.....only seen a small handful of people at various flying fields, who i would consider in the top echelon. But seen/heard lots who talk in the top echelon and fly like they need a buddy box again......
  2. Ermm not sure i am 100% right, but doesnt it have a battery back up system? Bit like a digital watch battery but bigger? If its died/dying i think it would cause/possibly the problems you have.   Mark Edited By Mark R on 21/08/2012 21:14:00
  3. Yeh just bought the very same from TJD models. £125 incl postage.....happy with that price.
  4. Hi Eamonn, yeh saw those but not sure how good plastic pins will be....thank you tho for looking for me
  5. Hi All, trying to track down Robart hinges with the control horn built in. i know they used to do them but cant find them on their site. Anyone know if they are still available or if someone does something similar, needs to be the point type hinge. cheeers Mark
  6. Bit i love is the 'he paid hundreds of pounds for each'! So that of course means 'i didnt get the new dress/kitchen/holiday' and he owes me big time!
  7. Hi Adrian, many thanks you have PM Mark
  8. Hi Folks, hoping someone might have a copy of the CMPro Midget Mustang instruction manual. Have tried CMPro and no luck, well no response at all! I know Jamara own them now i believe, searched the site and saw a link for manual...woo hoooooo!!! alas i need to be a retailer to access and download the manual...booooooooooooooooooo!!! So has anyone a manual i could beg/borrow/buy from them please. cheers Mark
  9. Very impressive build.......bet there was a few 'has to be scale' geeks at the various shows trying desparately to find fault with the build.........really hope they were disappointed
  10. As KC and Andrew have said Evo stik is good, but lack of sanding ability can hinder building as can slow setting times. I swear by Aliphatic glue, very good adhesion, had no problems sanding and 'set' in 15 mins (which allows you to move quicker) and is completely set in 8 hours or so.
  11. Well opened a Ebay case at 8am this morning and lo and behold late this afternoon they have posted the Mini Panic....still taken tooooo long to send and absolutely no communications from them......very disappointed
  12. Hi All, delivery time was 7-9 working days which i would put as 14 days (incl weekends etc). no contact at all from them. Also their website is showing Panic and Frantic (that was the 2nd model i ordered and not 2 Panics oops) both out of stock. Ordered both on the 17th April one via their website (in stock) and 1 thru Ebay (presumed in stock), think waiting 11 working days is a bit out of order, seeing as most places i have ordered from deliver within 2-4 days incl weekends. Ok delivery cost only £4.50 so i dont expect next day or even 4 days, but would expect a week tops. Will try on phone again in the morning if no parcel.
  13. Will be 3 weeks tomorrowfor both items..........heard good things about their models, just this is now stretching things too far.
  14. Hi All, has anyone in the very recent past ( 2 weeks max) had any luck with Avicraft? I ordered a Mini Panic direct from them 2+ weeks ago, after one call they admitted they had 'lost/forgotten/not received' the order, they had received the order but hadn't sorted it so it could be posted. Admittedly they are having problems with their CNC cutter BUT that doesn't excuse not responding to emails thru their website or even after contacting them via the phone not sending the item. Other problem i have had is i won a Mini Panic on Ebay, lil cheaper than from their website. Now i won that also 2+ weeks ago and no comms at all and even worse no item. Should i start proceedings thru Paypal/Ebay to cancel orders and get refund or do i sit here patiently, which i have been so far and make more phone calls to try and track down both items.
  15. Go for it! I havent had any problems with them (Reading).....whats the ARTF?
  16. Hi Phil, can heartily recommend them, the one i use in Reading are very very good. Phoned them for a set of retracts for my VQ Macchi and they were in my hand the following day. Be aware tho that the prices can be a lil on the high side on some products.
  17. Must admit i havent had problems with GC at all, usually 24 hr delivery time, tho their website does say they are on the move, so i wouldnt be suprised if stock levels are not up to date.....and yes i know they should try harder, but hey sometimes firms let things slip.

  22. Sounds like he was using a 2.4ghz FPV system if it swamped the tx..........if he was using a 2.4ghz tx/rx set up.... Hmmm ex pilot huh, so 'what i have seen and done in the air laddy and the experience i have etc etc ad nauseum' would of been the answer to any questions/criticisms.....always a shame when others seem 'above' us mere mortals and then make a complete hash of things..... As Steve said, good job no one hurt
  23. Alan, it happens, live and learn........least i can get money back.
