Thanks, not sure where I got Merco from- got a bunch of engines so can only assume I confused them. I've stopped thinking about it...…. Anyhow, it's surplus to requirements and I am looking to sell it. Thanks for the help in identifying it.

Good morning, The she’s elves have scrubbed the Merco off! A real head scratcher. I acquired a few engines so perhaps I’m muddling them together.The engine in question is a como 51. Which I now think is a thunder tiger varie t? looks pretty clean. Thanks

sorry im on my phone and didn’t see the earlier the posts. I’ll post a picture tomorrow. Im sure it has Merco stamped on it. Never heard of that brand so I can’t have made it up!

Thanks for the info- it literally has “Merco” on one side of the case and .51 on the other! I don’t know much about the heritage of engines- are you able to explain why it’s not a merco?! Many thanks as I have no leads!

Hello Good modellers, an old thread but here goes. Just acquired a Merco .51. Has a big S and como also written on it. Cannot find anything about it on internet..... thanks in advance.

Hello everyone. Just a thought but would say 4 x 6" props give you better efficiency through static thrust? After all most quadcopters are prop powered? It's a large model so maybe even bigger props could be accommodated whilst still respecting scale appearances? Be gentle with the explaination of why not as I'm sure I'm missing something with this simple thought?!....All the best, Adam

Swingee Hinges

Hi- thinking of getting some for a Northstar by balsa USA. I think I will use an OS 55AX, do you think the swingee will cope? Hope so as its a water plane and would therefore help keep water from getting in via control holes. Basically define big and what you think these would be suitable for? Thanks
