  1. Found in one of my many boxes,a packet of Graupner Synthetic Silk. 2metres by 90 cm.with English Instruction sheet. This is old, over 30 years I should say. Very fine, only weighs 30 grams a square metre. So would anyone out there like it ? No cost, just tell me what you will use it on,and I will post it to you. Too good to leave in my Cellar !
  2. What Nationality is the one with blue Spinner? Never seen that fin flash before...
  3. Got this a few weeks ago, anyone know it anyone? Comes with nearly everything needed to get it in the air. Flaps are there but no servos for them. How much throw should they have? Nothing in the Instructions at all.The wings have a slimmer profile at the tips, prevent slow speed stalls ? Any help would be helpful....
  4. A friend of mine was visiting UK and kindly bought the latest RCM and E from the WHSmiths in Lichfield. It says on the cover with 2 free plans, only one in my copy !! Flea Fly was not there! (Only a sketch on the side of the other plan. ) Any chance of getting a copy? I was hopeing to build it ,just for fun !! Was it just a one off ,or have you had others complain? The Mag was bought at 12.30 on June the 12 th.I have a receipt here. The wire staples were intact and showed no sign of being tampered with. Be nice to know what happened !
  5. I have just tried again andregistered this time. Get Prices in Euros but only on the US Warehouse. No drop box with choice of Country, only Change Dollars to Euros. Frustrating!!!
  6. Hi, I live in Germany and have bought regularily from the EU Warehouse in Holland, all with no hassle at all. Over the last week or so I get daily E Mails with staggering offers, I tried to Access the EU Warehouse and the UK one as well but they seem to be no longer there, Only the US and Hong Kong. Is it just my PC playing up or are Hobby King closing down, or havent you heard anything about them? Edited By Pete B - Moderator on 24/11/2017 11:01:00
  7. My friend here in Germany wants to buy a Laser 30cc V Twin, We can find no capacity size in the type numbers, Are they cubic inches or what? Which Motor is a 30cc V Twin?
  8. I have a good Lipo charger, but want to know if the Lipo will Charge just from the Balancer socket and with no main leads connected?
  9. Hi, got a question, I have just bought a ARTF model,( Unknown mini racer but with Radio ,ESC and Motor plus 2 micro servos) and the Lipo is a 500 2S with a tiny White two pin plug and normal XH balancer plug. Now to recharge it I need a matching Plug, which I don't have!! Can I recharge, with a low Charge current useing just the Balance plug?? I need the original plug to connect to the ESC, Help please!!
  10. I have an Easy Star I, and she is great fun and got me back to flying again, Multiplex sell all the bits as spare parts, and I wondered if I got a pair of Easy Star II wings with aelerons, does anyone know if the fit the Mark I Fuselage, I fancy moveing on and that seems a good way.
  11. My Problem is the model must share the luggage space with a folding wheelchair for my wife, she enjoys flying too, so we can share our Hobby, I build 'em, she covers them, and get them back when we "Land Out" ! Although a cow pasture, there is a track across it, that I could use as a Strip for take offs, if not then a Hand Launch.
  12. Thanks everyone for the good advice, I like taildraggers, so may stay true to the original, but might fit aelerons.
  13. I have the plan for the 60, but as such is too big to go into my car or be stored in my cellar, which shares with my wifes Boot Sale bits. So I want to scale ir down to about 50+ inches, and go electric. Another mod I am thinking of is to make the tail plane and fin removable, minimising possible Transport damage. I am also thinking of moveing the tailplane so it is about 1 Inch or so higher than it is present position flat with the underside of the fuse. Will this do anything drastic to the flight qualities? Where I fly is a cow pasture and as such is quite likely to rip off the low tailplane. I know changing it is sacrilige, but I want to try.
  14. I am rarely in the UK but I have found a model shop with helpful and knowlegable People. Where? Well it is Ashford Models, it is in a Trading estate just outside Ashford in Kent.On the London side. Not easy to find but worth a visit. Plenty of parking outside the door, and as I said a cheery positive experience.
  15. Back in the 70s Keilkraft sold a large Glider, about 10 foot wingspan, semi scale appearance, named the "Elmira", I seem to remember that it was only 2 channel and that it performed better when the rudder was enlarged! I did buy a kit, but did not start it as my shed was not big enough! this kit was sold when I gave up Model Flying for Mod Stock racing, and bad decision!. Does anyone know what happened later? I know Keilkraft sold out, but to who? I suppose the chance of finding a plan is remote, also my workshop is not that big!
  16. Just saw the Readers Build of an HE51. I remember I built one back way back when. It had solid balsa wings and loads of sheet and I powered it with an OS20FS, (which I still have) It flew extremely well, the little fourstroke sounding just right, but she was too fast for scale, but that is normal for a small model. I sold her, sans engine via the local Model Shop , sadly now gone, to a guy who flew with the local Club, where I heard him describing how he built the wing fixing to another Club Member, and how the under carriage was his own design! I didn't bother to contradict him, just smiled and went away. The plan was a Freebie from Radio Modeller, from July '89, don't know if it is still listed, I have a copy and I thought of building another, Electric this time as I don't want the hassle of an IC motor. Brushless and Lipo should be about the same weight as the old OS. Want do you guys think?
  17. Thanks for the tip, but where do I find the plans for a DB Whisper?
  18. I saw one of these advertised in an American Mag, the idea seemed very simple and effective. Anyone know if they are available in Europe? The problems and costs of buying from the States are too many for me! I used to have a Sprengbok Radio with Linear Servos, in lots of applications far better than Rotary.Grat pity I sold it!
  19. I have just rediscovered one of these, it is in good condition, complete with Factory ally motormount, and toolkit. If I remember correctly it was an easy starting and trouble free motor.Just stay with the OS FS plug that is, didn't like any others. Are they sought after at all? I thought about building an Old Timer ( like me!!) to put it in. Its last home was a Heinkel Bi plane fighter , where it was just the job. Any suggestions? ( Not rude or sarcky please!!)
