  1. Doh! perfect. thank you Pete.
  2. good evening guys, its been a hectic year and this is my first post for a while. Its time for a winter project and in my shed I still have a boxed Hangar 9 "miss america" I think you would call it a 60 size. (60/90 ts or 80/120fs) however I would like to go electric with it. My question is where do I start as far as motor and esc size are concerned? I fly helicopters so have a good quantity of 3,4 and 6S batteries any advice would be appreciated, thank you.
  3. The instuctions on a chinnese charger I once owned recommended "Always charging batteries in the breezy place" !.....so these will be perfect then .
  4. Hi Chris I would go with the blade 130 (if you can find one instock anywhere ). they are slightly too large to fly in a standard size living room but not too large to practice hovering or orientations. The mcpx i would side step, its ok but not great and to make it fly properly needs the tail boom extending by around 10/12 mm,an easy enough mod but considering the blade nano is £15 cheaper and does not need mods its a far better helicopter.(this little heli is ideal to fly in your living room if your an acomplished pilot but is very quick and for a learner again and is better in a larger area.) with both these heli's (130/nano) throttle hold is your friend, click it fast enough and they will withstand crashes amazingly well, the nano in particular. both will fly outdoors in calm conditions and even handle a slight breeze well. slightly larger is the blade 300,this has not proved to be a popular size but may interest you,its ok in a large hall/gym type room but just to big for home use.a medium size garden would be usefull. loads of info and help can be found here, although I must admit this is probably one of the best results to a helicopter question ive seen on this forum, its usually tumble weed
  5. Hi Gary it would appear the mention of helicopters and all run for the hills on here Try around 25% expo on airl/elv that should tame it down a little. The best way to get airborne is to spool up to around half throttle then give it a quick jab to jump it skyward they really don't like hovering in ground effect and will just slide sideways and fall over usually. and if it's not too cheeky ,and you want to talk helicopters why not join. **LINK**
  6. It came straight past us at the helicopter 3d champs competition at Tewkesbury yesterday. acompanied by a small prop driven "people carrier" of some descripition.

  9. Futaba 3152s reasonably cheap and will go from hovering to mild3D.and you will certainly feel the benefit of the faster speed.

  11. A 1000 tons of TNT , if packed onto cargo crates or pallets and stored 3 boxes high, would stretch approximately 200 miles. ???? really????
