    Pilots

    just had delivery of an iflyitalies 1/3 scale ww1 pilot for my Morane Saulnier AI. Expensive but i dind't think plastic pilots looked the part in this scale.
  4. Hi Guys , Just took the plunge on one f these , have no knowledge at all on autogyro's so will be a steep learning curve . Can anyone recommend where to get the blades from as I don't think AJ's in in business anymore . Blade size is 450mm long , 60mm wide and 6mm thick Any thoughts ? thanks
  5. Watching this build with interest , I've recently purchased the seagull version which looks good so far . From previous comments did i see a recommendation for Aileron differential , also assuming a bit of rudder mix will help in the turns ? thanks Andy

    Hi Guys , whats the opinion of mounting lasers on there side , got a 155 which would be better fit in cowl if side mounted . any issues with fuelling etc
  8. think I'm going to try in my car in one piece , if it goes in i'm going to glue the top wing halves together.
  9. thanks John much appreciate the info. I'm not impressed with how the top wing is secured. If it fits in your car in one piece did you consider epoxying the upper wing halves together with the balsa connector for the central strut?

  12. what car has he got ? The top wing attaches with bolts and blind nuts , most that have to remove for transport complain the threads give out after a while

    Hi Guys , Any ST guru's out there . Picked up a ST90 (Ringed) and fitting out in a model. Following tons of advise about spray bar angle and tank height but curious about the barrel when closed . There looks like a cats eye shape to the left of the barrel that's open even when the barrel is shut off ? Is this normal? thanks
  17. i'm toying with some sort of attachment to the rear wheel with which i can drag it out safely but not damaging the model and its easy to release
  18. Hi guys , Has anyone come up with a design/idea of how to get models from pitts to flighline if they are awkward/ heavy to carry but you cannot taxi up to the flightline. Our club flightline is about 50yrds from the strip. Have a thought of some sort of attachment you hook on or place under the tail wheel then drag the model out to the flightline. Have tried rope around the stab but want something a little better . Any ideas / thoughts thanks
  19. flew the ruckus the weekend on my os55ax. Went together well . no issues no drama . Motor mounted upright so a little carving of the cowl needed. Undercart as per manual no probs at all. Cracking little model , balanced spot on with 2000 nihms under the tank. hi-tech 645mgs all round and a yellow slec tank . Easy 10-15 mins and unlimited vertical . Very responsive and great in low/ tight circuits . New weekend hack now .
  20. for anyone interested , you cannot side mount a glow as it fouls up on the under cart. Either upright or inverted is the only options
  21. Hi Guys , Anyone running an IC version of these . Wondered how the tank lines up with the carb is using the 46. Potential flooding is well known on these 46's when inverted . Anyone considered mounting on the side rather than inverted ??

    Thanks Jon for the info , no not looking to convert to petrol that's another engine/issue. On the 155 is there an updated document regards running in or is it the generic one that's available .
