  1. I charge my batteries outside the TX on the DX8, when the TX first came out i could not get a spare battery that came with the little plug, I wanted a spare battery and also found the TX getting hot while charging, I also wanted to cycle the battery, so phoned BRC and Don said many people are cutting the lead off and fitting a new one, which is what i did. you need to keep the little white connector that fits in the TX, so cut the battery wire and solder on a female futaba plug off an "old extension lead", you can now put any reciever pack inside the TX that has a male plug. "so you end up having the white connector one and and a futaba female plug the other" On the battery pack you cut the wire off, solder on the male plug you cut off the extension, you now have a working battery pack again. Be careful cutting the off the wire on the battery, do one at a time so you dont short out the battery. hope this helps
  2. Phil if you have more problems it might be worth trying a OS plug. I’ve been using model technics plugs for months, but recently changed to OS plugs, I’ve noticed that my glow starter is harder to fit on the OS plug, and when locked on is solid, I think there must be some difference in size or shape to the two plugs. Worth a try Marc
  3. Posted by Tim Mackey - Administrator on 14/08/2011 23:16:47: Yes - it WILL work with any Spektrum transmitter except the DX8 Tim can you tell me why you think its not be compatible with the DX8, as its telemetry compatible, my understanding is AR600 & AR600x both work with it, or are you talking about the AR6100e Sorry if i misunderstood   Marc @import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);

  13. I’ve been lurking around for a few months and thought it was time to say hello..! I had a slow start in the hobby as was barking around the wrong club, but after finding some good lads at Blyth club I’ve never looked back, very friendly and always willing to help beginners. Got my training done via buddy lead and now flying solo trying to improve my flying and looking at taking my A cert when I get the nerve to take it. Got a few planes now and seems its always growing, apart from ARTF models I’m in the process of my first build, it’s a low wing cnc kit from galaxy models. My interests are in IC and Electric so this seems a canny place to hang out…… Anyway hi from me Marc @import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);
