1. Awsome weekend! 22 hours of indoor flying im knackard  BB
2. Jonathan, A clubmate has just started flying an unmilled version and it flies just as well to be fair. Ive got a 2mm one to try this week as well.  My Yaks use all the gear from the 4-site right down to the horns and pushrods only extra is a strip of flat cabon on the LE to save messing with any bracing.  We are also working on an edge and an extra of the same scale  BB
3.    Thanks Tim, here are a couple of vids of the prototype Edited By Barnesyboy on 06/12/2010 19:23:12 Edited By Barnesyboy on 06/12/2010 19:23:42

6. Amasing, we cant just exept a cheep price. So used to being ripped off we have to question price reductions lol BB
7. Had a play around with the airframe on Sunday and managed to save some weight got her sitting at 148grm on the scales so a huge saving was made, just with servos, arms, battery and pull pull, will add some milling ready for the weekend but Idealy i want to save more without having to do that. Just have to find some cash to buy a hacker A10 or Axi 2203 motor i think
8. 1.Bristol Beaufighter2.Jet Provist EDF 90mm 3. Bronco (or just give me your big'un)  BB
9. Posted by Erfolg on 21/11/2010 12:39:20: I am impressed.   Perhaps a tutorial, for the RCM&E, regarding how you work towards flying in confined a space.   Particularly how you achieve the (so called) high alpha, without stalling, looks easy when you do it.   Also how direction is controlled, using rudder and aileron etc.  Possibly somthing for somone in the future, writing isnt my bag really, Timbo is forever corecting my spelling and grammer on the club forum lol,  I'll try and keep you all uptodate with modifications and videos leading up to the event where I will fail on an epic scale!  BB
10. Its also a fair bit bigger than the click so that wont be helping the weight, span is 890mm compared to 840 for the click IIRC Thanks for showing an intrest  BB
11. Thanks Alan, The design is based on a mix of the Click, Morback and Mercury. with some design tweeks by my very skilled CAD man Andy Sayle. By the end of the meet i had her flying quite nice so the design prisiple works. but as it was a rush build she came out abit porky at 169grm! But that was with 9grm servos all round and a Tower Pro 2204 motor at 24grm, pushrod Rudder and Ele (as I didnt have any spare pull pull arms) and no milling so im confident i can shed a fair amount of weight for her next flight. Cog took abit of faffing about and its still tail heavy (pull pull should sort that) and there a couple of things Andy S wants to change on the design but as a base line it was ok, VERY little roll coupling needed on rudder turns. Rolls very becoming very axel by the end of the meet. It holds a line very well both level and inverted. Ive got some fancy Carbon control ams and motor mount on the way from Robert, couple that with my axi/lighter servos and my proper F3p packs (was using 2s 350mah today but will be going 250mah) and maybe a tad of milling we sould get abit better i can save the following weight quite easy change two 9gm servos for 3.5gm =10/11grm saved change motor Tower Pro 2204 (24grm) for my proper one @15gm = saved 9gm Lipos from 350mah (25gm) to 250mah (20grm) =5grm saved Pushrod ele and rudder to pull pull with carbon fittings = aprox 3grm saved so just with that around 27gm saved on total weight add to that carbon motor mount insted of ply, carbon ele horns and abit of milling or extra cutouts I can easaly get sub 150grm I reckon
12. Ahh pics arnt working and photobucket is down, how anoying Anyway heres the vid of the prototype hopfully   BB
13. You may or may not know that ive been working on a new OD F3P model for this years EIM, well here she is. Myself and Andy had a look around all the F3P planes on the market and took insperation from them all to hopfully come up with somthing different. The Wisper F3P Cut No1 off freash off the laser (thanks Rich Badham) Just need to glue her together and test fly before we commit to competition spec, fingers crossed Thanks must go to Andy Sayle who worked as Chief Aero type designer on this. Cheers BBEdited By Barnesyboy on 21/11/2010 11:06:24
14. Can be one of a few things,  First and most common is Timing, set it abit higher, My Decathlon was a bugger for it when you open the throttle fast! Next is ESC some motors just dont like some ESC, but in your setup it seems unlikley as there both Turnigy. Next is try a bigger prop, somtimes lightly loaded electric props will just not spin up properly go an inch bigger (if safe running alows) will normaly help.  BB
15.   Designed and built on the Wirral, UK the Awsome GR Designs Mini Shockfliers. Heres some film i got of designer Graham "Rolling" Roscoe flying the production models @ Deeside indoor meet  http://vimeo.com/15746461 BB
16. Not true Tim, I started a topic only this morning lol. Unless you mean in person then yes!  OT Sorry BB Edited By Barnesyboy on 03/10/2010 20:15:44
17. Thats the fella Tim. Bob, the prop adaptor is an integral part of the end can so cannot be seperated.  The GWS DD props fit perfect  BB
18. Desided to maiden my BB Ultra Micro Yak 55 yesterday only problem was the wind outside! soooooo I desided to use my back room Yak uses all the gaer out of a Ultra Micro 4 site, 3mm deprom airframe and abit of milling got it down to 32g AUW Went quite well once i'd sorted the COG cant wait to fly it properly now, anyway have a watch   Edited By Barnesyboy on 03/10/2010 10:46:06
19. Saw your coment on my youtube, thanks. The plane is great, only weak point is the exposed servo on the bottom if you do land hard the little foam cover pops off and strips the servo! But land it properly and its fine!  Flying is just as easy as any other EDF but dont let the lipo run out as she DOSN'T glide lol  BB
20. In a word no! I belive its down to lack of intrest/cost/venue all rolled into one. Im sure others will clarify. If its a good freestlye comp your after with no weather hasstle check out EMI this Dec www.f3p-uk.org.uk BB
