Hi Trevor, I have no idea where you are located, but if you are anywhere near me, New Malden or Kingston on Thames in Surrey I would suggest that you have a word with L.E.WENT Ltd. They are located in Burlington Road. New Malden. Tel.No. 0208 949 0626. Some years ago I had " fish eyes" when spraying vehicles that had been cleaned with polish containing silicone. they supplied me with an additive which I think was called PREMIX .It certainly worked for me. Hope this might be of some help to you. Modern cars have quite lot of plastic panels that require painting. Regards Allan Jordan

Hi Tom, I watched the programme and I thought that it was pretty good.RCME got plug via those lovely bibs and our hobby got some much needed positive publicity, who was it that said " THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS BAD PUBLICITY" Well done Keith.

I've used car sprays for some time now and it usually works fine.Just one little tip though..Never use different brands of paint together,I accidently did it once and I produced one of the best crackle finishes I have ever seen.Incidently I only ever use Holts Duplicolor.I also normally buy the Panel Size cans.

If you can pete,use a diesel.lots of power available without batteries or starters.I've still got a couple in my workshop.an ED 346 and a DC that might be a Merlin.The DC was given to me by a friend some years ago ,this engine had been dug up from his garden,I cleaned and stripped it down,it runs and starts great! I did have to make a new conrod for it last year,but apart from that,no problems at all!Diesel every time mate

The loss of Sandown is bad news for those of us in this neck the woods. Never mind Duxford,how about Dunsfold near Guildford? Sandown was just about the best venue for us Surrey chaps.Let's cancel the silly expensive Olympic Games and build proper flying sites.( Might be some votes in it Tony)!

I had the same problem chaps. But I expect It is just starting up gremlins( am I allowed to use the word, it was virtually banned in my time in the RAF.
