  1. I can't see a problem with your servo choice rich
  2. I'm flattered , you've done a great job Geoff and I'm sure my boss will appreciate the time you've saved him. I'm very exited about this project as I may well be the man who carries it to the strip for the maiden.   Edited By Justin K on 02/01/2014 17:51:11
  3. Johnny get one while you still can! Rich Ive just the wings to join and a remote glow to plumb in. If it fly's as good as this one then I will be very pleased.
  4. http://www.modelflying.co.uk/forums/postings.asp?th=75780 There is some info here Rich. I've nearly finished mine . What size is that engine? i have put an OS 91 fs in mine. Edited By Justin K on 31/12/2013 13:01:10
  5. I came away with sadly an all to familiar tale last year BUT with an odd end result . My wife who works for a large retail organisation here in the UK , bought me a subscription that included a rotocraft tool set. After 3 mounts of missing out on my favourite read and numerous phone calls chanting legal blurb endorsed by the appropriate department of said retail giant we canceled and got a refund , two weeks later I received 3 of the same magazine and 2 rotorcraft tool kits all within a week!! All l wanted was the magazine delivered to my door , But mainly access to the subscriber area . I got neither and came away tool rich but info poor. Sorry but it's not good enough .
  6. Interesting Eric , I've read of this before on a spectrum thread . I think it's the HF flicker given off by the tube light and the monitor screen that plays up with the 2.4 ghz system. So a lesson for everyone here, no low passes in front of your PC and no barnstorming through the garage if the lights on J
  7. I've had a wood on wood twice now , In a SW wind at our field you either come in cross wind and dog leg onto finals or you come in high over the "amazon" and fly a tricky channel between woods and a bush line. You think your doing great until that sickening sound questions your depth perception :-/
  8. Eric! Let's take this one as a joint victory ! Just out of interest were you under or near a fluorescent light source ? J...
  9. I've not got any of the S-FHSS RX 's so can't help anymore I'm afraid. The manual suggest touching the antenna's together if you have linking problems, have you tried that?
  10. Eric , you are telling the TX that it's a FHSS RX it's looking for ? System type selection , page73 of the manual. Justin .
  11. A nice new piece of electrickery for me, just got to transfer all my models now
  12. Ok thanks Barrie, I had a good read of the ebook last night. I've nothing in my fleet with flaps so will have to change that soon, the mixing options are great.
  13. Well I managed to get both the version 3 and speech updates uploaded onto my 14SG and have downloaded the excellent ebook info my wife's kindle. I've linked 2 of my fleet and will do the rest during the week. One question, Will my model memories automatically be saved to the SD card ?
  14. Looking very nice so far Geoff , can't wait for the maiden
  15. Another vote for the silverline eBay model, there is a slight dribble at the end of a run but it cleans off with a tissue. The glue gun works fine tho
  16. Ian , in my opinion the single servo will be fine in the Hi Boy, most high wing trainers use only one. I feel it would be a lot of work for little or no benefit . Again with the servo's the 3004's will do the job nicely. Anything more is a bit like race tuning your Nan's ford fiesta popular plus
  17. Colin, yes your engine is ABC . Sounds like its ready for its first flight now and yes I would think the chaps at the field will assist you tuning it. Leave the low end needle for now and get a few flights in with it then adjust. What airframe is it going in?
  18. I do, despite using thumbs only I can't do without a strap, I actually find myself pushing against it at times. I've just upgraded to a Futaba 14 SG and it's much heavier than my 7c so the strap is going nowhere soon! I also use a transmitter glove during winter and in the wind and the strap helps keep it inflated so to speak.
  19. Chaps, is it just the version 3 and speech function software I need to download? I take it the version 3 will cover all that was in 1 & 2 ? Thanks J.
  20. Anything would be welcome , but a new cap would go down a treat. Edited By Justin K on 20/12/2013 14:14:10 Edited By Justin K on 20/12/2013 14:16:37
  21. Posted by john melia 1 on 19/12/2013 19:50:19: Got a son down in bulford , 19 tank transport squadron , he loves the weather down there , weather is atrocious here , wet windy and freezing A Tankie Eh ! Good lad, to be honest John I w think were all in the same boat weather wise. Does the engine seem to be ok cooling wise? New new colours are good and as BeB says it can only help with orientation. I like the plane it different and looks a challenge to fly. J
  22. Top thermal kit John , were just putting the shorts away down here in Hampshire
  23. Posted by john melia 1 on 19/12/2013 17:06:24: Nice one , nice boots too! here you go justin ..... **LINK**
