I 'm a city and guilds qualified mechanic and have never had to show any paperwork purley because my father had a reputation for being the best so just my name opened any door i needed opened and now my own reputation guarantees a job,i've even had companies create positions to fit me in.in my experiences i've seen that the more letters people have after their name the worse they are at the practical side of things and usually end up sacked within a month.It seems theres a huge difference between learning what the book says and converting it into an actual useable skill.

  5. i'm a newb to the hobby and i bought a spectrum dx7s on my local shops advice.I figure it's going to have plenty of channels for bigger better planes when i move on from the trainer i'm building.
  6. Could someone point me in the right direction to pick the right fuel for this engine,what nitro level is the right one 5%,10% or what ever. my local shop sells model technics fuel but i'd like to know what i need before i go in there. thanks Del

  8. for me it's racing motocross,the odd test session on superbikes and i do a fair amount of shooting.The plane building is going slowly now though as the race season is almost here so it's much training at camp Del.

  14. The beguin is here,Theres a sticker on the lid that says "This kit now includes parts and instructions to fit a brushless outrunner" Just got to clear the work space before i open the lid and breath the balsa smell in.

  16. Well 'ive got a westwing Beguine on order and it will be here tuesday.That'll be two models on the go at the same time,lol the balsas taking over. Any ideas on prop size for my t2826/14 motor thats going in the beguine.

Good morning i've reached the servo fitting stage on my sky 120 build,The insrtuctions say i need 5 standard servo's.I've looked at various shop websites and the servo choice is mind boggling.Could anyone recomend a sensibley priced/reliable servo . The tx and rx are sprctrum if that makes a difference. Thanks for looking  Del

  21. i went to edinburgh zoo to see the pandas,they have black eyes and are over weight..       They look scottish already
  22. I'm only using it to mix with dope to use as a sanding sealer so it doesn't have to be the finest anti bloom top coat stuff but even thats only a couple of quid dearer.
  23. Just thought i'd pass this on as i've been searching for a good price on thinners after seeing the laughable price the model shops sell it for.Any ways if you go to your local wilco car spares they sell 5 litres for £9.99. Hth someone. Del

I use mcafree on all our computers,they do have probs sometimes that relate to certain machines.I brought my nephews a toshiba lap top each and the first mcafree update after loading crashed all 3.A few updates went by and i reloaded now everything works fine.It'll prob cure itself overtime,not that that helps you now.
