  1. The FMS Olympus is indeed very good and a cost effective option but at the end of the day is foam which may or may not be an issue for you. Arguably the stock set up is a little too aggressive but amazing value. I have not flown the Mythos 50 but have flown both the Wind s50 and the Angel s50 If you can find one go for the Angel every time it is better than the Wind 50. IMO and the mythos is really a wind with canaliser. The Miss wind is great but if you intend to compete you will have to fly in windy conditions and the Miss Wind biplane can be a handful in a crosswind. Will send you a pm also
  2. It is entirely to be expected that you will pay vat on imports from outside of the EU. If you do not get charged then you have been lucky. There are now, fewer and fewer packages that escape the charges. The moral is really to buy from the UK or actually Europe with the euro on its knees.
  3. Has anyone been to this show ? Anyone going in 2015? Worth the trip?
  4. Thank you for posting. I enjoyed the video. I bought an Impala kit some years ago at a swap meet Built but never flown. Must give slope soaring a go this year Edited By chris Bond - Bondaero on 31/01/2015 10:06:35
  5. Watching with interest. The Turnigy G160 appears to be pretty well regarded for the money but perhaps heavy. I have just bought one of these Not yet flown but run up on the ground and appears a good cheap contender on a 20x13 prop with 10s Also the euro is currently only about 75p **LINK**
  6. Thanks Dave, I will lift the front of the wing a tad Bit more progress very slow as a long time since I did anything like this
  7. Just a few questions please. Plan seems to show zero down thrust and zero wing incidence relative to the tail. Anyone know if there is any reason to change this? Also I have an old Parc amber flexible mount but this does seem heavy. Is there any real need to consider mounting the engine on flexible mounts. Any recommendations on a mount?
  8. Fuselage sides seemed to have been started and were very heavy so replaced with new stuff. (thank you balsa cabin)
  9. Well finally got to taking the lid off the box that was acquired last year.
  10. Very best wishes to you and the family Mark I will miss Brian very much
  11. The 230KV motor will be fine you just have to load it more with a bigger prop than the 270kv motor A 20x13 will pull around 70A I would think so go ahead and try it . I think the XYH motors are the same as EMP fine but a little heavy
  12. Hi Peter/Martin Not actually OXai so not that expensive really SR 71 Moving to a 20x13 will help as the motor and esc will be asked for more power so amps will rise 20x13 is a reasonably common prop in F3a. It is the right thing to do as long as your motor and esc can cope with the additional current draw What motor and ESC do you have and we can assist more
  13. Just thought it was a while since there was any pictures in this thread Couldn't resist   On topic though Edited By chris Bond on 23/10/2014 14:26:45
