  1. Goodness knows Cliff, forums have there uses.
  2. Hi Cliff, by trim I take it you mean in flight trim on TX front not sub trim? If that's the case Cymaz has more brains than Futaba support. 10C for sale anyone
  3. Cheers John We both have the same idea on training.
  4. Cheers Cymaz. Will give that a try this week.
  5. Hi Martin That was not how I read your previous post regarding our club A. As I stated slight latitude is allowed, not a big difference between both A tests. The club A is conducted on a less formal basis (ie less stress to the candidate), they are then passed over to one of our 2 BMFA approved examiners for further coaching if needed. Regards Charlie Lee Training co-ordinator KADMAC
  6. There is very little difference in the tests. The only leeway is slight variance in height when doing the manoeuvres. The club A test is witnessed by two long standing members who will not pass anyone on a friendship basis. I do not want a battle with you but you seem to want someone to fly perfectly. It's all a learning curve and people seem to progress very very rapidly once the club A has been passed. Edited By Charles Lee on 04/05/2015 20:49:55
  7. Yes I was disappointed to put it mildly.
  8. Had to upgrade to a 10C for it to work on two separately channelled elevator servos. All would work fine on the 7C until the trim tab was used during flight & it only trimmed one elevator. Posted questions on Futaba site & was informed it was not possible to trim in flight. If you do find a work around, please let me know.
  9. It disappoints me to hear of the lack of training available when there are so many members in our ever growing clubs who could teach the newcomers the basic rules of safety and flight. Our club has a rule that no new member flies alone until he has passed the Club A which is based on the BMFA A but with a little bit of latitude as regards accuracy of flight. This allows them to improve their flying and then take the BMFA A. A good few of our members will assist a newcomer by either standing by them giving advice or on a buddy lead, this is how it should be as we are a club and proud of it.
  10. Posted by Newbee phil on 12/11/2014 10:51:51: Why are black horse models so tail heavy???? It's ridiculous ... I think I will be sticking with seagull or hangar 9 ...... these never need much weight ..... oh and thanks Terry. .... Hi Phil Don't want to burst your bubble regarding Hangar 9 warbirds not needing nose weight. My H9 Thunder Bolt ( 60 ) size powered by electric needed two x 6 cell 4500 mah lipos up front + a 4800 mah sub c receiver pack mounted on the motor box. so that's an extra kilo in total. It flies spot on at this weight.
  11. Hi Mike Did you use flaps on landing?
  12. Posted by Philip Craig on 01/11/2014 23:55:13: Charles, Please let us know what you think of the 15x6 on the OS 490. Will do Philip. you may have to wait a while until I can persuade him to part with a few more quid for a prop. ( Ducks butt in winter )
  13. I've helped a club mate with his Wots Wot & it flies spot on needing no trim at all. We fitted an O.S. 490 KV electric motor with O.S. esc & a dynamic 6 cell 4500mah lipo turning a wood 14x7 prop. It's quite fast so may try a 15x6.
  14. My wife Jill has given up watching strictly for this. God I love her!!! Edited By Charles Lee on 12/10/2014 19:30:28
