  1. LOL, I remember that day and yes, it was pooring, hard wind gusts, cold to the bone but still lots of fun and many flights Was good to warm up in a small local town with a hot chocolate...
  2. Wow Danny, that looks great! Just wanted to tell it looks huge on picture, reading that you found it larger than expected as well. Once the wingtips are ready its 74", 1.8m if I remember it right?!? 38" is just under a meter, i think that should fit in 90% of all cars. People flying RC planes usually have big cars anyway... Forces on the "joint" build up quickly when you reduce the span of the middle part. For me this size would be fine. I'm not posting that much here but follow this thread on a daily base, thanks for posting all the details and pics! Keep up the good work Danny
  3. Way to go Danny! Great to see how fast things come together now, nice way of building with such a kit (and nice to follow for us ). The battery bay looks cosy, can you get it in and out easily? How will you lock it (velcro might be difficult to slide it in and out). keep up the good work (and pictures!)
  4. And we are off, great! Don't know about the weather over there Danny, over here fall arrived, wind, rain etc. Typical building season ! Awesome how fast things take shape with those machined parts! Keep us posted!
  5. Hi Taff, The holes in the plastic are just a bit smaller in diameter then the outer diameter of the screws. You should be able to tighten them. Screws kind of cut their own thread or have so much friction that they will hold the load easily. Just try to screw them in. DON'T tap, screws will be way to loose...
  6. Just a little movie without further comment Click here...    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xurTJzPelpE     Edited By Mr. Rob on 14/10/2012 13:58:27 Edited By Chris Bott - Moderator on 14/10/2012 22:03:34
  7. Hi Danny, still tucked away? Any news or plans to start?
  8. That sounds like a clever way to doe it, I had a little hope you weren't that sensible Are the retracts with included servo (these?). Cirrus sounds great, decent size as well. Knowing Ton there will probably be a set of scale floats as well?!? Cheers Rob

    Wave

Hi there, finally made some time to finish the Wave (was finished for 98% over a year ago ). Flew it today without any problem. Had to shift the Lipo a bit forward, zero trim required. Should go back to the lake together with Ton soon         And a little movie   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JNANpWBzwMk         Edited By Biggles' Elder Brother - Moderator on 14/07/2013 17:40:44
