Posted by Phil B on 12/02/2012 12:43:30: Do the m3 brass connectors that the wing struts clip into have a name? I need to get hold of some new ones. Try these. http://www.t9hobbysport.com/item.asp?catid=94&subcatid=141&prodid=710

Very well done Bill. Thanks for posting.

Here's a landing light I made up for my Sig Kadet Sr. It was in the leading edge of the wing.

Bill_B. Very nice landing light. Do you have any pictures of the inner workings?

Posted by Delta Whiskey on 01/02/2012 20:31:35: Jim, what size is that nose leg and how does it hold up with the weight of the engine right on it? It's a FULTS RF-510 These gear hold up very well and I've used them with a Super-Tigre 90 and an OS 61. Saves having to bend the nosegear back on a dicey landing. Cheers

Thanks for the comments. I like tri-gear and this plane looked like a good candidate for a conversion. The ASP 160 just seemed like the right engine for it. I took a chance on this engine and ordered it from China. It turned out to be an excellent running engine. I have video of the ASP 160 running on YouTube at this URL http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=btkD3tWB-S8 My understanding is, the CG should be between 70-90 mm (2 3/4"-3 1/2") from the leading edge.Edited By Jim 15256 on 29/01/2012 22:17:14

Very interesting forum. I'm converting a Seagull Super Decathlon 120 to a tri-gear and installing an ASP 160 4 stroke. Hopefully to be finished by Spring. Here's a picture of it.
