Here are some photos of my recently completed Sonerai, now awaiting it''s test flight.

It would appear that according to the checker used that the RX battery was at 85% capacity, although I always treat the readings given on mine with some caution.   On my Hitec battery checker the borderline value is set at 40%, although as a matter of safety I would not fly if the reading is less than 60%.     You would do well to invest in a battery checker as mine has saved me from a potential disaster on more than one occasion

Assuming you have tried removing the glowplug and checked for an orange glow from it when energized by your glow start and as you say fuel is getting to the carb ok, but is it getting into the engine? I know this may sound obvious but have you double checked that the needle valve is open far enough? For the first time with a new engine I usually start at 1.5-2 turns open, choke the engine by placing your finger over the air intake on the carb and flipping the prop anti clockwise four to five times, then flip the prop several more times with the intake uncovered to distribute the fuel around the engine.  

Just a quick thought you say you are using a good JR RX but not whether it is a PPM or PCM one. If it is not a PCM then swapping the RX for on that is a PCM type may cure the problem. I have a 68" Extra with a Zenoah 26 wiith a metal pushrod for the throttle fitted using a PCM RX and have no problems with glitching at all.

Tried before, did not win so here I go again. If it fly's anything like a Wot4 it will be a cracker.

I could just do with one of those. please take pity on a broke aeromodeller and pick me.

A conversion to electric power would be interesting, and given the wide choice suitable of low cost out runners & ESC's available it would be a very prcacticle one as well.

Sounds like just the thing for some rainy day fun in the sports hall at work!
