Russel Brand? Now wash your mouth out! Brian

Brilliant soarer easy to fly and tough with it. Spent many hours with one in my youth, so have bought the plans to make another just for the fun of it for the nearest slope is a long way away. Brian

Something not right here! I have a Phoenix simulator set up and there is No direct connection from the laptop to the controller. There is a Phoenix box between the two. Brian

The 'share your photos' thread (not model flying)

Phil, congratulations for taking such a stunning picture of the canal bridge, it is a work of art. I have been trying for years to produce something as good. Brian -
Have had problems with plastic actuators or control horns breaking under stress particularly on nose wheel. When the latest one failed I made a new one from brass and discovered that the pins on a thirteen amp plug are perfect for the job and almost ready made, needing only little work to finish as holes are already in the right place. It may have been done before but deserves a mention. Brian

Beautiful flying weather here..........In France Brian -
Thank you all, that's exactly what I wanted to hear. Still love fixed wing but now will be able to fly in the garden, so off we go. Will start on my phoenix sim. I think. Brian

I am an experienced fixed wing flyer, but have never flown helicopters. With fixed wing we have options of mode 1 or mode 2. Are there similar options with rotary? I would like to get it right from the start.. If it makes any difference I used Mode 2 for fixed wing. Brian

I am with dbFlyer . Done the brush re-sizing trick with various gadgets, just get the next biggest brushes and spend a few minutes with a file and a bit of fine emery cloth. Brian

Thank you David for that correction. The silly thing is that the model I had WAS the Junior 60 but the mists of time had made me forget. I couldn't aspire to a Super 60. Not until now had I remembered that there were indeed two 60s. Brian
-
Aah! yes the Super 60 most of us old codgers had one, mine ditched in a lake and when rescued all the wood glue had gone soft. I straightened it out, put it on the nightstore heater overnight and flew it again the next day. Happy days. Great plane. Brian

Hi David The decals are self adhesive, just peel off the backing paper and sick on the model. It is quite easy to split the backing paper and only peel off half of it. Don't treat them like transfers since they are self adhesive plastic. The good news is that the Discovery is a great model, easy to fly and will do aeros too, mine is still in one piece. Enjoy Brian

Punctuation and spelling can change anything. The example my English teacher used to give was an advert which went like this. Wanted, kennel for dog with stone bottom. Plenty of fishing and flying sites here in Brittany, sunny too. Brian

It is the control box I am sure, I have looked inside and the I.C. chip is getting hot, in fact is drawing 2 amps from the battery without the adaptor plugged in. The manufacturer has obliterated the details on the chip to prevent anyone knowing what it is. The control box is a BMI Game Pilot 6 Brian
