  1. Posted by kc on 24/12/2014 12:24:39: Mode 1 are the ambidextrous ones! I think it's a fact that different parts of the brain controls left hand or right hand so in flying Mode 1 you use both parts of the brain which must be better! That should conclude the argument. Exactly! No point in debating any further.
  2. Lightly abrade with OO wire wool, degrease with cellulose thinners, spray coat of self etching primer and finish with 2 pack epoxy colour of choice.
  3. The only thing to add to an aircraft is "lightness".

The black spacers are for the spinner backplate to compensate for differing crankshaft diameters as necessary. You may not need to use them if your crankshaft is a good fit to the backplate hole.
  5. I'm still waiting for a call back from Ripmax promised in December 2013! I contacted OS directly in Japan and got excellent response and help within a day. That's what you call customer service. Ripmax don't understand or care what customer service means.
  6. It wasn't a pet but......I had a fuselage supported in the garden and had just finished the final coat of white KlassKote (2 pack epoxy) when a sparrow decided to land alongside and flap its wings in the nice wet fresh paint! Never seen a sparrow with invasion stripes before.

I wouldn't swear to it but I think Rustin's Plastic Coating is the basis of Tufkote.
  8. JB Weld would be my recommendation if you're going that route.
  9. Wrap the snake outer with normal paper masking tape first then stick tape to foam with cyano or epoxy.
  10. Allegedly Ripmax order some items from Japan only after they have received orders themselves and get deliveries by sea, ( it's cheaper) hence the 3 months quoted. It seems like their customers needs come a very distant second in their consideration.
  11. I'll just post it. I'll leave the comments to those much braver than I.
  12. I have the Apache "Penzoil" version with retracts which flies well on an OS 200P.
  13. I forgot to list Jonathan Ross as well. Oh and Russell Brand and don't forget Vanessa Feltz.
  14. Middle lane hoggers (I think their training is carried out on the new A13 eastwards towards and from the M25). Vannesa Feltz.. Steve "Wrong" . and did I mention Vannessa Feltz. It's strange how many of the those listed are "presenters" on Radio 2.
  15. I would recommend "OSMO -Polyx OIL" Two coats with a very light sanding in between coats. Then a light rub down with 000 wire wool and beeswax will give a sheen that's superb. It's proof against pretty well anything a table will have thrown at it. You can also "patch repair" without it showing.
  16. Try PVA with the laminations held in contact with "ZipLoc" freezer bags full of sand or preferably lead shot. I've a number of these which I use mainly on leading edge D box sheeting. They spread an even pressure perfectly.
  17. Are you using DSM2. If so allow a few seconds from switching on the Tx before switching on the Rx. As has been said make sure the Tx and Rx are not too close to each other or near any large metal surfaces whenever you switch on, not only during binding.
  18. Fairy Power Spray and if needed a session in the dish washer.
  19. I always use 0.6oz/yd glass cloth and epoxy finishing resin on the inside of any "plastic" cowl or similar moulded item. Lightly sand the inside before applying the cloth and resin. One layer is normally sufficient to make it strong and resilient.
