    ive often thought could the thrust at idle and max be measured with a fish scale. you could then set your curve at what ever point matches the thrust ..ie 33% thrust at 1/3 stick ,50% at half stick and so on . any one ever tried that approach

    ok in that case you would not need permission to drop the kerb, unless you wanted to write a letter to yourself charging an admin fee , you could then add it to your flying budget

    we are having to this because of our house extension . we need to go to a double dropped kerb from a single . i was expexting around 750. you can do the work yourself if you have it in you and just get it signed off

    i use a PB v4 smoke pump .with mt oil..i placed the injector in my header some will tell you in the can but they both work... for my injector i silver soldered some tube that was crimped at the end , i then drilled some very small holes into the tube near the end , this tube enters the header with about 2 inched or so running down the center of it to provide a little pre heat . set up for me was pain on my dx 18 . you had to have 3 mixes to get a liniar mix slaved to the engine that was switchable .. my 18sz was a lot easier and took 5 mins, if your getting a lot of residue on your airframe chances are your putting too much oil in, my pump only runs around 25 % @6.6v (2s life ) at full throttle on a 60cc , ive have looked a lot , and there are ways of creating coloured smoke , it dose however involve some chemicals that may well reinact gldfingers fortknox scene !.so ill leave that to you....also i made my set up self containedunit so 6 m3 bolts and the whole lots out if i dont want the weight in.. fly low

    how do you find the 5245s ? i avoided using them in an EF exp because of the reported centering issues that some have had...having said that ive alot of hitec servos and had little in the way of problems .

    i bought a proxxon micro torque ratchet , just for working on my petrols .. the prop will probaly have to be about 6-7nm if its wood and a little more for carbon .. Edited By ben goodfellow 1 on 22/09/2016 08:00:41

    If you intend to to 3D . The flying style this model is designed for. you want the lightest prop you can get so you don't get flywheel wffect . It wants to be both de and accelerating as fast as possible .

    would anybody know if there are a set of electric main retracts available for 15kg (1/5th scale) models , two of us are building the tn 103 hurricane , and to be blunt im not interested in spending the crazy sum of 520 pound on a brand of air up/downs !!!!!!!!.......fly low
