  1. Thanks for the help with the power set up, will get ordering
  2. Thanks Rich. I am getting on with the build (slowly). Not too many problems - same things as other people have spotted on the plans. One thing I am unsure about is the rudder servo as it seems to be boxed in with no access after completing the build. I may put it on the outside of the fuz or in the same area as the mast (a bit tight in there though).
  3. Can anybody recommend the power set up and where to buy from ( battery, esc, motor, prop, spinner, prop adapter etc.) Also, I have bought some of the bearings for the rotor head. Had to buy a pack of 10. If any body wants to buy a few (at cost price + postage) just let me know. Question for Malcom. In the photo above, it looks like you have fitted tail wheel. Could you please share the details? Gary
  4. Trying to get digital issues on my iPad. Rcme web site says to install web app and then use square box with arrow to add to home screen. How do I install the web app? I can't even find it!
  5. I am building a Travel Air and am unsure as to where route the aerial. Does it have to be kept as straight as possible or can it be doubled back on itself?
  6. For the transition from trainer to low wing, which is the best model to start with? I would like something that is fairly stable and forgiving, not too lively. Thanks
  7. Thanks, I'll give it a try Gary
  8. Great, thanks for the tip Gary
  9. I had a similar problem with an Irvine 46. I returned it to the factory and for £5 they replaced the liner, piston and conrod. Not had a problem since (touch wood!).
  10. Can any one help? I have acquired a OS 46LA and would like to obtain a manual to go with it. I have problem that the engine will run for a time and then cut out for no obvious reason. Thanks Gary
  11. Have you tried Just Engines. I broke the needle valve on a O.S LA 46 and they were able to supply a new one - just the bit I wanted, they were really helpful. I went to their stand a show, but I am sure that you could just phone them. Do a Google search on Just Engines. Gary
  12. Thank you both for your help. I don't have sky so will go for the DVD. Gary
  13. In the July 2004 issue of RCME, there was an article about the giant C17 that was built for the Discover Channel series called Super Models II. A DVD should have been made available. I have tried to find this DVD but there is nothing on the Dicovery Channel website and a google search brings up models of the other type - very nice to look at, but nothing to do with aero-modelling. Does anybody have a copy of the DVD that I can buy or borrow or know where I can buy a copy from? The article says thatthe DVD is available from www.homeandleisureshop.co.uk but it is not! Thanks
