Reading all of this and looking at all the hoops to jump through now I for one will be selling all my gear and moving to another hobby. I'm just fed up with it all I'm afraid. Flying RC for over 40 years. Hobby ruined by so called drones. -
The Mini WOT 4 thread
robert feltham replied to Andy C's topic in Indoor Models, Ultra Micros and Small Park Flyers
Update on mine. I am using a Hitec Aurora and have found that i need to set EPA on the throttle to 130% to get full throttle.Have flown it and now dont think i need 3s! -
The Mini WOT 4 thread
robert feltham replied to Andy C's topic in Indoor Models, Ultra Micros and Small Park Flyers
I have now flown mine.Using info on this thread i put 2 thin washers on top of the motor mount and 2 £1 coins up front to get the cg (with a 800mah 2s lipo). All electrics standard including servos and the supplied 5x5 prop. Made sure all servo horns had linkages on inner hole and outer hole on the horns for maximum leverage and opened up holes slightly for nice free movement. All control surface movements as per the manual.Hand launched and after a very slow climb out it was flying really well but under powered and more elevator movement needed even on high rate setting. No trim was required on the flight and a very small amount of down elevator needed to hold inverted. Has anyone tried it on 3s yet with the standard esc? Would like to try different props has anyone done this yet? Great little plane but would like a bit more go! Cheers. Getting ready to fly this.Hope it flys as good as it looks! Mini Xcalibur with Jetcat P20. -
Well I went along yesterday and me and the missus enjoyed it! The pilots were superb we thought.By the way I quite liked the commentary.I also like watching the 3D flying and the jets although I cant afford them.It was nice to be able to browse the stalls and get to the front of the flightline without the huge crowds and rows of seats in the way.

Hi guys was it really that bad ? I am thinking of going tomorrow. Is there a big trade turnout? also the missus says are there enough toilets?................cheers.

Taft 90mm Viper jet. Anyone had or seen ?
robert feltham replied to scott finnie's topic in Electric Ducted Fan
Hi Scott I have the Taft Viperjet.I do like the way it flys and it slows down well with the flaps for landings sounds the business too! I have only had 4 flights with it so far no issues as yet. https://youtu.be/HT7i2GCWhSo -

Ripmax ARTF Wots Wot
robert feltham replied to Robin Kearney's topic in Sport, Aerobatic and 3D kits
Hi thanks for quick reply! Yes my battery bay is open without hatch and the 5000 lipo protrudes downwards. I use velcro and straps to hold it in. Not perfectly neat but looks ok in the air. The u/c came off complete with the ply base landing was a bit heavy (my fault!). I like the large lipo because i can have 2 x 8 minute flights without lipo change using telemetry for battery voltage to warn if i go too far! Will try lighter cells soon but seems to fly well with the large cells. Cheers. -
Ripmax ARTF Wots Wot

Hi there everyone this is my first post also. Just maidened my Wots wot artf and i am very happy with the flight performance. I am using the PA Thrust 50 with a 14x7 vox prop and a 6s 5000mah lipo ( modded battery bay to fit). Had a 12 minute flight and used 50 percent of the capacity. I agree the cg does seem too far forward but the slow speed flight and ease of landing are great for our small strip. I would recommend this plane. But bigger wheels and beef up u/c mount.
