  1. Still strugelling. Shall have another go over the holiday. Seems crazy that this is so complicated for an ARTF.
  2. Thanks Dennis, I shall crack on, Fingers crossed!
  3. Thank you Dennis, I realize that each rx is programed to the relevant model. I think the problem is that according to the instruction manual, The model should be in Safe mode to be able to assign the switch, When bound, it reverts to AS3X mode so I think that is the reason I cannot assign the switch. When I bind it, after that it immediately does the usual double cycling. However, it is set in the AS3X mode. However many times i bind it, I always come up with the same result. The monitor shows, in my case the gear switch is assigned. I have also tried to set up the model on my DX9...Same problem.
  4. I have set up the 3 position switch B. Now I have another problem!! At position 2, we are on AS3X. Position 1 & 0, nothing , no Safe, no AS3X! The Viper is programmed for Safe as it cycles twice after plugging in the battery. So, what next?!
  5. No, unfortunately not. I have just soldered up a pack of 3 x 3000mah cells wired in parrallel. No PC board so wired in a Futaba plug for fast charging with one of my fast chargers. I have been waiting months for a replacement, so the above was my solution. 50% Increase in capacity, for less.cost.
  6. I have a Spektrum iX12 transmitter, in which the battery has failed...only 6 months old. The pack is dated from 2017!!! Anyway, I have een waiting months for a replacement, so I decided to make up my own pack. Purchased three 3000mah Li-ion cells which are wired up in parallel. Now the pack from the TX has the positive and negative wires wired in to a small PC board. I would like to know the purpose of this. Any ideas?
  7. Hi Mike, I have an Enya No3 fitted. That improved matters quite a lot. So I shall now order an OS No 6 and see how if goes. Many thanks.
  8. Mixture is as lean as it will go. Motor is a profi 76. Prop, a wooden 15x5. Fuel synthetic 14%. Nitro 5%. Plug unknown. So, I shall try a hotter plug and see how that goes.

  10. When I remove the glow clip from my motor, the revs drop. Does this mean the glow plug needs to be hotel or colder
  11. Hello Dennis and Frank, Thanks to both of you for your prompt replies. I shall have another go with this today and get back to you.
  12. I have purchased one of the ew Spekky 10 ch telemetry receivers. I want to use I conjunction with this rx a Leomon battery current telemetry unit. Would this be possible and which port should I use.
  13. Hi MartB, have tried RCgroups. Always slow to reply. Have sorted the sound now. Many thanks
  14. I did not, but thank you for your suggestion. I'm sure I shall get their in the end.
  15. Hello Dennis, I have followed the video on how to activate the sound for the switch reoport, but no luck. But thanks for your help.
  16. Thank you Dennis. I shall let you know how I get on.
  17. Having bee n a very satisfied DX9 transmitter customer the past nine years, I have recntly upgraded to an iX12. I am having problems setting this up. First issue is the sound events for switches etc. I follow the instructions and nothing happens. Tried this several times, and have no succeded inloosing the sound for the timer and when binding. Can anyone enlighten me on this. Another issue. The wifi and blue tooth worked as expected. Today I tried to download some Spektrum files for My ARTF`s. Problem is that that now has no signal. I have redone the password to see if that works, but the same thing. Password saved, but no connection. So went onto bluetooth, same thing..no connection, although the screen shows my device which I have used previously. I do not see how this can be unless my TX has developed a fault. Any ideas?
  18. Thank you for all your advice Dennis. All new and shall mention that as you rightly suggested. Seasonal greetings to you and your family.
  19. I have tried all this. Channel 5 is correct. Switch B is correct, as tried tested on the monitor. have also tested with a Lemon/gyro rx, and the latest 10 channel Spektrum rx with built in altimetet telemetry. All to no avail. I am an unable to assiogn the channel that I need. i think my best bet is to contact Spektrum comminity./
  20. Many thanks Dennis. I also have the same problem assigning a switch for a "Guardian" gyro.
  21. Thank you Dennis. Done that. But no joy. Checked monitor as suggested, switch works together with the appropriate sound.
  22. I have upgraded my Spekky DX9 to an iX12. I have a problem assigning any switch for the AX3 giro. I would like that to be switch B. Any ideas?
  23. I got through three of these from the early seventies into the late eighties. Ran mine on OSP 60,s, wih an ED quiet pipe and matching carb. Bags of power, fabulous flier. Tempted to get one for a winter build.
