  1. Can any one recommend a suitable lightweight filler appart from Deluxe Materials filler ? Is there any thing similar and more economical to be had at the diy shops. I have a foam fusalarge which needs help.
  2. I did have working flaps but never really used them, like you say not needed. I have seen a few Wot 4 foam e`s snap in two easy. The Riot looks a bit tougher.
  3. The Funcub is a good all round flyer and on a slight breeze you can hover it in one spot but I do fancy a change. I did think of a Riot or Wot 4 foamy. Would they glide and float the same ?
  4. A sad day today, I put my old go to model into the top of a tree The damage it received getting it down has made me very sad. I liked flying it but what can I replace it with ? Or do I just get another, what do you chaps recommend ?
  5. A couple of years ago I thought I was suffering from hay fever in the summer due to a sensitive runny nose, sneezing, it went on for weeks until I realised it was the glue. I now take it outside or stick tissue paper up my nose for just small glueing sessions.
  6. Posted by Phil Green on 22/03/2019 20:07:38: Clubs often have strange rules. Until recently, at Ponty, after landing a model, you were obliged to leave your tranny at the flight-line whilst fetching the model, which if electric was of course still 'live'. Trannies left on flight lines often fall over, onto the throttle stick! We managed to convince the committee that this was bad but they would only relent for 2.4g - 35's still have to be left behind! Crazy. I wonder where the club in question stand on homebrew gear? Cheers Phil Edited By Phil Green on 22/03/2019 20:08:40 My club has this rule, apart from tx`s falling over they can get kicked by other pilots in the box. I can see the point of this as you can knock the sticks while you carry the model if you haven't made it safe by switching off. If you have a model gone down in the bush its good to have the tx in hand which can help you find it. Our club allows mix and match rx`s if they work as they should whats the problem ? The thing that stands out as very dangerous is chaps that have no throttle switch programed. Last year I saw 3 people get prop chopped.
  7. You know what they say, quality is always better than quantity Mike and myself went up last Thursday, slight southerly but not strong enough to be a problem. Grass was wet and bumpy with Daisy's popping up. ps how's bob 3 doing  Edited By trebor on 20/02/2019 17:33:53
  8. Just watched the video, looks like fantastic fun I must admit to not getting into flying without ailerons and I am amazed how you can get those planes to bank over or even roll. If I ever get a chance to build one I will.
  9. I've been flying a MT shop plane **LINK** With the guts of an old UMX As3xtra BNF Basic Depron. It flys pretty slow, slightly stronger than the original Horizon model.
  10. I haven't had chance to look at my settings yet, all I've been doing is going to and from the vets with a sick cat
  11. I was shocked that my Taranis could speak like that
  12. I have tried it and the throttle does not work and I am not sure whats going on with the switches, they keep coming out with odd programed statements like "Oh yes that was the right switch" "situation normal" " shoot its about to get real". Could you tell me what was the rotary switch s2 for on imput 6 ?
  13. Well I copied the bin file whilst the sd card was still in the TX, restored the model into a free slot model number and turned it on I was greeted with the voice saying " situation normal, all [email protected] up" I hope I wont regret doing this
  14. Easier said than done, all I do is enter all settings by TX, I do update via companion but every time I try to use it for something else I mess up. I dont go too near the sd card if I can help it for the same reason computers and me dont get on My Taranis opentx version is 2.2.3, somehow I got the sounds updated and its working fine but I dont want to rock the boat. I will let you know if I make any headway I have noticed that my TX opentx has no helicopter model wizard symbol but on companion its there but I cant select it
  15. Got it but how do I open it ?
  16. Peter, I thought there was a reason why my mate gave it to me I only have the normal blades without the add on bits. I thought it was twitchy hovering in the lounge I dont think its for indoors !! What module do you use ?
  17. Frank, I got hold of the mCpx version 2 instructions and it shows settings for the Dx6i, Dx7, Dx8 which differ a bit. Which do you think would suite my Taranis best ?
  18. Thanks, I am still trying to decide if Helicopters are for me or not. I Keep having a go so "fingers crossed"
  19. I have been given a Blade mCPX to try out and I am trying to program a Taranis fitted with a iRange X module. I know nothing about Helicopters but using this Opentx setup **LINK** **LINK** **LINK** I managed to get it hovering in normal curve but was unable to take off using curves 2 and 3. As I say I have no idea what these curves are for and I feel well out of my depth. Is there any other guides I could use just to get me flying ? Are these setups any good for the Blade mCPX ?
  20. Have you got a link or what was the search heading you had ?
  21. I'm glad I am not the only one with this problem, a short while ago we had our club bomb drop competition and all my bombs fell long of the target. I need more practice or try flying at 45degs across the target. Maybe I could fit a laser targeting light pointing down on the field that should do it.
  22. Have you picked up a charging only USB cable ? What about after version 2.2 you don't have to hold the trim switches in like before or have I got my knickers in a twist. Ps, have you updated it yet or trying to ?  Edited By trebor on 13/01/2019 08:34:52
  23. I had troubles with USB connections, you only had to move them a fraction and the connection would go. Pounland do some good USB cables belive it or not
