    Many comments resonate here. Have simply been priced out of the hobby to a point that I rarely fly these days, and agree with comments regarding the Nats showline. Used to love it and flew there, and at the Engineering Exhibition, Olympia for a number of years. All manner of models, that more often than not, could be purchased on the trade line after salivating over a demo slot. All a bit cliquey and exclusive these days. Things change, I get it. But not always for the better...

    Until I read a reasoned explanation as to why these two seasoned ACE's have not been re-elected, I'll continue to assume that it's simply the old boys network up to mischief. The whole episode stinks. Shameful behaviour.

    I'm numb. I just happened upon this thread. It was quite a shock to find out Dereck had shuffled off this mortal coil some time ago. His column in RCMW was the first time any of my models appeared in print. Such a dry sense of humour, he will be sadly missed. Now then, what's really bizarre is that approximately two hours before finding out about his untimely passing, I'd dug out the Amelia plan specifically - looking for something to scratch the build itch with. Spooky.... It's going to be a race to get it finished in time for the North Cotswold bash in August. See you there! Julian

    Flew one this weekend. Very nice. A little underpowered with a .46, but a good .53 or FS should fit the bill admirably! Flies just like the old one, but a little lighter with the built up wing. Definitely got to have one of these to replace my 12 year old original....   cheers Julian
