  3. Love theses threads. It's a great idea from a great mag. My top three are as follows: 1-Hawker Sea Fury 2-(For A Challenge!) English Electric Lightning (EDF obviously) 3-McDonnell Douglas F/A-18F Super Hornet (EDF too!)
  4. count me in. the funjet looks like like fun... and resembles a jet!
  5. My top three are: 1-Hawker Hurricane 2-DeHavilland Hornet 3-Hawker Typhoon
  6. Just to expand on my last post. If you want to download extra models for FMS then the largest collection is probably this one. Have fun!
  7. For those of you looking for something ot have some fun with then I thoroughly recommend FMS. It's available to download from http://n.ethz.ch/student/mmoeller/fms/index_e.html and the best thing is it's totally FREE! This simulator has fairly decent graphics and a good range of models (if you want more then there are plenty of free downloads on the web, just Google 'FMS Dowmloads and you'll find addon models, scenery etc.) and plenty of other features including: -support for transmitter control (if you have a connection lead) -programmable thermals for glider flying -simulated hand and bungee launches -collision detection with objects such as trees -switchable cameras between pilot and chase views -and more. I'm currently using the V2.0 Beta 7 version and have great fun with it so go ahead and try it!
  8. I recently accquired a Twister CP V2 and have only just mastered hovering with it. After flying both this (conventional single blade) and my cousin's Twister Bell 47 (contra-rotating) I would have to say that the contra-rotating types are much easier to hover but once you get used to the constant stick inputs that you have to make on the single blade then it's really no harder as such. I've not had to buy any spares as yet but think a set of new blades are in order due to clipping of walls etc and the carbon fibre is starting to fray. Good luck to both of you.
  9. I went down the same route as Stephen with a TT Tiger Trainer. I'm now very close to the 'A' test and can say I've thoroughly enjoyed the journey. We've had our ups and downs but I can't help adoring the old crate. However, the 'A' is certainly not the end and I hope to enjoy the TT for many years to come.
