  1. I've got my foreplane servo on a switch to activate/deactivate it. I don't think I've flown it without it activated but I can give it a try and report. Mine had a bit of a mishap last fall. A combination of a weak launch and less than full throttle. Truth be told, I was a bit cocky and showing off (isn't that when it always happens??!!). It fell out of the sky on the nose, shoved the foreplane back a bit and boogered the covering. It gave me the chance to reshape the nose and remove the silver from the fuse then replace it with white. I'm glad this great model continues to draw pilots to it. Too much fun!
  2. Thank you Colin. It is the fastest ship I own. The silver scheme tends to disappear in the sky especially on overcast days so I have to keep my eyes on it at all times. After dozens of flights I have no issues other than one broken prop and that was pilot error (bumping the throttle at the last minute). Yours looks fantastic in those photos. Rudder still working well? I found myself chuckling on the sortie after the video when I pushed the left stick to the right on final and nothing happened.
  3. The day finally came where I brought the CanDoo and GoPro to the field at the same time. Forgive the quality...head mounted GoPro. **LINK**
  4. Baz...I used a single foreplane servo and built a shim to mount it externally to free up room for the lip. With the servo out of the way, the lips slides in vertically with no issues. Here is my lipo's (3s/2200) position. The CG is very delicate on my CD but it flies beautifully with battery here: You mention your canopy earlier. Here is a photo of my layered balsa canopy that has been hollowed a bit. Works well. Enjoy the rest of the build!
