A while ago in this build Danny mentioned using ammonia to bend sheeting. For my Miles Sparrowhawk build thought I would also give this a go, but was having difficulty in getting a source for the ammonia. As an alternative, I decided to try meths (as I had some for thinning epoxy). The results were good enough for me. It soaks into the wood quickly and will evaporate in about 15 minutes.
I'm sure my level of building a far short of you fellows but think the results are fine. I used thin super glue to glue the sheet edges together while using alphatic glue on the formers. With the sheets super glued, the meths can be applied (no effect on cured glue), wait 5 minutes for it to soak in, then start with the pins to fix the sheets.
I hope this helps - not sure how to load a photo though. . . . .
