  1. Will give you a shout now John. BMFA Electric Indoor Masters 2016 Feb 6th and 7th. Barnsley Metrodome.Edited By Andy Symons 1 on 08/02/2015 21:54:57
  2. Glad you enjoyed the event Avtur. Best one yet, even if I do say so myself. We always look to improve a little bit every year and I do think we managed it this year. Especially with the new knockout format for the freestyle comps. Andy Event co-ordinator.
  3. Excellent 1st day at the 2015 Electric Indoor Masters. Some excellent flying and the new freestyle format and scoring is working very well. Tomorrow should be even better so well worth coming along.
  4. You don't even have to address the envelope if you use window envelopes, the address on the card shows in the window if you fold it correctly.
  5. Posted by pilot-M on 05/02/2015 16:21:25: Almost ready to launch LOL that means another 3 weeks then . Well we hope not, there are just a couple of things still to sort out but we hope to be able to announce a date for launch early next week. We had scheduled work on replacing theclassifieds towards the end of this year, however we were not convinced the old classifieds could be restored without the vulnerability, we could have restored it as was in a matter of hours, so we have been testing a number of new options, have decided on which option and been configuring it. All this on top of the day to day stuff at a very busy time of the year and while dealing with a number of other non website related issues which to be frank were much more important. In fact most of the classifieds work has been done in our own time. So apologies for any delay.
  6. Posted by WolstonFlyer on 02/02/2015 22:54:00: I am wondering if they have taken a backup of the original hacked site and restored it to a new server to extract data from etc. I have a feeling that the email to Alan was a mistake. Spot on! The new BMFA Classifieds is almost ready for launch.
  7. Email [email protected] with your BMFA number and full postcode and the email address you wish to use and it will be changed for you.
  8. Posted by Simon Dale - Firstpersonview.co.uk on 23/12/2014 13:42:45: Yes. My understanding is that the BMFA make it clear that their insurance won't be valid if you don't follow their rules (they use insurance as "a stick" to quote their chairman). That's why in the FPV UK handbook we have only 6 rules and the rest are clearly entitled "Recommendations". As you can see here: http://www.fpvuk.org/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/FPV-UK-Handbook-v1.0-20092011.pdf Simon. The BMFA handbook is a book of gudelines and recomendations. The only rules in there relate to the CAA Air Navigation Order & rules for club affiliation. All BMFA members benefit from £35m of civil liability cover as well as personal accident cover, the only condition for the insurance to be valid is that the pilot is engaged in lawful recognised activity. Lawful recognised activity of course includes, FPV flying, multi-rotor flying and aerial photography, whether in the club setting or as a country member. Unfortunately the internet is full of misinformation when it comes to insurance and I would suggest if anyone has any questions or is insure about the cover they would be better checking out the BMFA website FAQ's on insurance at **LINK** or ringing the office to get the correct information.       Edited By Andy Symons 1 on 23/12/2014 14:25:05
  9. Not long now until the next BMFA Electric Indoor Masters. This event is growing in popularity every year and after the very successful move to a new venue for 2014 will once again be held at the Metrodome Arena in Barnsley. **LINK** Over the weekend of 7th & 8th Februray we will once again have the best indoor aerobatic pilots from the UK and around the world competing in F3P indoor aerobatics, Aeromusical, freestyle, team freestyle and indoor pylon racing events, the competition is fierce but it is conducted with a great spirit of friendship and fun. It is well worth the £5 entry fee. (adults) Refreshments are available and there will also be a raffle on both days. Plenty of free parking at the venue too. Further details at **LINK** Andy Symons Event Co-ordinator
