I remember him saying its a strong plane because he had a bad landing in it and it cartwheeled the only repair was to the wing tip seen in picture, another 2 planes he gave me but I was to scared to fly because I liked them was a massive vintage plane think it was called a bull dozer or a double dozer and the last was a 4 channel super sixty he said he wanted me to learn with ailerons , do you remember these models?

  3. Yep Dave Mason ! He helped me out loads with trying to fly over a couple of years , every time we went out in his car he had to rock the grand montego as he called it backwards and forwards until the starter motor would catch , he helped me fly another plane of mine which he had to load the nose with more lead on than the local church (his words ) he said to my mum at the time the only reason the plane took off is with my wishing alone haha , getting that plan would be brilliant, now you know why I would like some help with it , I will pm you and find out if we can arrange for you to have a fly and maybe help me with it , it deserves to fly again , I still see his wife quite abit did you meet her ?

  5. Its still got all my old stuff in it ,but standard size servos from 15 years ago , wouldn't take much to get it ready , does any one have a contact around bishops Stortford hertfordshire that would help me fly it ?
  6. this is a plane that was given to me and it's been stored in the loft and ive only ever dreamt of flying it as I don't want it to end up like my over models in a bin bag after crashing, this was all about 15 years ago and I was at school then , I'm trying to get back in to it and im building the bambino but I would like to build a piper cub like this one but have it electric , it's 53" wing span does anyone know how they fly and if the kits are available cheers Steve

  8. I can't work out the under caridge, just buy the laser cut parts , for the money it's not worth your time cutting it out

  11. Cheers for your help everyone, the battery is charged now and no fires ! I'm going to run the prop for abit and monitor how the volts change
  12. How long will it take to charge , I have a balance charger , it's in a model plane , what can I buy to see what state the battery is in ? I have a multimeter but don't know how to use it for volts ? Really grateful for the quick replys
  13. right so I'm abit nervous with charging my lipo , it's a 2c 350mah 7.4 , is it right to select 2 cells charge at 0.3amps 7.4 , says the charge finishing at 8.4 , how do I know when the batterys ready to charge again ?

Thanks for the help , I need to buy a charger but not sure what to buy , needs to work on mains and 12v car , mark I noticed the same , it looks in the pictures that the metal rod is bent at the servo pushing both elevators at the same time , not sure though, has anyone built the plane and have some pictures please
  16. Right so I've got the electrics sent through , well happy with them but........ How do they go together I've never used a lipo battery before what wires connect to the speed controller ? There's a white connector and a red one ? If someone could take the time over a phone call would be a brilliant help , I don't want to cause any fires and I need info on a battery charger thanks Steve

  18. Hello everyone, not flown in years , saw the bambino free plan and I'm hook again , I used to work in cb models in Harlow a long time ago I'm sure George had it at the time and it was taken over by another company but loved learning from the old boys there

Hello new to this site , I used to fly a mfa humming bird when I used to work in a model shop called cb models in Harlow , but I haven't flown in years, I walked passed your mag and saw the bambino and I couldn't help buy it , I didn't know what pack to buy so I bought both the laser cut parts and wood completion pack I didn't really find much info on them , I will also buy the electric kit fro 4max as suggested, my question is ive got an old futaba radio kit sitting in the loft , will the battery in the tx be any good after a charge ? Not sure they will be available any more must be 15 years old , cheers Steve
