  1. Please feel free to ask me any questions through ebay as I'm not on this forum a lot. SebArt Wind s50e + Hacker Motor & ESC + 3 flight batteries + Futaba servos & RX
  2. The Sebart wind 50 is fantastic. I had two they were so good. As it happens I am selling one with radio gear and batteries on ebay . SebArt Wind s50e + Hacker Motor & ESC + 3 flight batteries + Futaba servos & RX
  3. @import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css); there is a possibility that the y route to manchester will go right through my living room   And just to put my opinion in on this i think that the idea of using public money to build a large transport system like hs2 is a good idea provided the work ALL goes to british companies and contractors. But the hs2 does not have enough realistic benifits and too many real problems to warrent the huge price tag. And then who really benifits from it when it is compleated?Edited By Olly Giles on 12/01/2012 01:35:04
  4. bob ask on the gbr/caa forum. These guys are the experts on YS. However having had a YS110 for a few years i would suggest first doubble checking all the fuel pipes and the tank for air leaks. Then set the regulator valve as per the instructions. i found this very useful
  5. Posted by Ultymate on 31/10/2011 13:23:06: The main reason I dislike A123/Life batteries is that there is no reliable way of checking cell capacity between charges, the operator has to "learn" how many flights a certain model can make on a given pack. I would far rather be able to check battery voltage preferably with a meter that applies a variable load and for that reason have to date stuck with lipos. @import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css); I have two identical planes in which the Rx is supplied in one by a lipo through a voltage regulator and the other where i use a LiFe. I have to say i turst the lipo more as i can get a better idea of its state of charge after each flight. The LiFe on the other hand seems to just sit at 6.6V, not that there is anything wrong with that but i always have the niggle in the back of my head that the voltage will just get to a certain point and fall off a cliff without warning.  However i do like the fact that LiFe are more robust than LiPo in terms of the charging routines etc.
  6. As richard said, im pretty sure that black wire only happens to NiCads.

Why should the green brigade and the speed Nazis dictate what car you drive?  But in a way Terrence you are very right as the internal combustion driven car will be consigned to the history books, certainly in my life time. However this will come about not by legislation and 'green' pressure groups but by the supply and price of fossil fuels. but this is wildly off topic. Edited By Olly Giles on 13/10/2011 19:00:13
  8. if you look at a mororway network from a systemic point of view then the obvious solution to every single issue that arises is removing the human element from the car. The tehnology exists where you could join the stream of traffic and your car could folow the one in front and that car follow the one infront automatically etc etc. However this would never happen firstly because of the cost and secondly, it would remove the freedom that a car gives you. So untill a new way of moving from A to B that betters the car has arrived, i am all for the increased speed limit.  And i am totally against the idea that all speed of any kind is bad. Speed, in some cases, makes alot of sense.
  9. Id vote for the saito 91 (4c). it sounds fantastic and has huge power. the only slight downside is the cost but for me it is worth every penny p.s. lookes like a mk V to me
  10. The increase to 80mph on motorways is a good idea as it brings us in line with most of the continent. Plus a good majorety of drivers do 80 on the motorway anyway so it will make little difference, aside from less motorists being booked for doing 75.   Young drivers limeted to 10%below the speed limit? HA!!!!!!!!!! Are any 17 year old lads going to drive past a 30 sign and do mental arithmatic to work out that they should be doing 27? And how on earth would you police it? The stupidest idea ever.  And Terrence stop having a go at 4x4's. The fact of the matter is that they are no better or worse than any other car on the road. They are just cars where all 4 wheels go round. The only reason why anyone would have a moan about 4x4's is that they are jelous of the people who have worked hard to buy one.
  11. yes! my maganatilla had a head on with my clubmate's foamy corsair. the maggie had a dent on the cowl where the corsair's domed nut hit but the corsair exploded in a shower of foam when it went through the prop. It was fairly spectacular to watch
  12. i think low voltage cut off. If you still had radio link then it wonr be anything wrong with it. The PZ gear wil pulse the motor as its running when it is getting close to LVC as a warning.
  13. Please take a look. This engine has to go to fund other projects. Any questions post here or pm me.
  14. Have you checked the end points on your tx?
