  1. The oficer shown on the main nationwide news was probably an actor. On the BBC NW news it showed a close up of the transmitter and it was a Futaba FF9 fitted with a Spektrum module on 2.4 Ghz.
  2. I noticed that the Liverpool police survailance helicopter drone featured on todays news had a Futaba FF7 Tx fitted with a Spektrum module so there must be some Spektrum about somewhere.
  3. ED were one of the pioneers of RC flying in this country. They were the first to fly an RC model across the English Channel back in the 1950's. They later specialised in performance tuned pipes and produced a small line of high performance motors. I believe that the firm died out when the owners died.
  4. when i was a lad down on the farm the cows lived in a byre and shippen was spelt shippon, we could'nt afford a cow shed.
  5. You can buy a brand new Skysport 6, either mode, for £35 or less, with nicads. So what is the point in changing over your present set, just sell it and buy a new one.
  6. Why not put the pilot in the Officers/Flying Club cocktail bar when the plane is on the ground. That would be scale.
  7. if you go to the main USA futaba site you can find detailed set ups for most of the leading kits on the market. Sample Hangar 9 ultra stick. http://www.futaba-rc.com/faq/faq-9c-q787.html
  8. I notice that Alls Hobbies are selling the Futaba FF9 Tx without a module, as a special offer. Pehaps they know something we don't.
  9. I read on another forum that the present owners (Lipets?) are trying to offload the Fleet interest but without success at the moment.
  10. Make sure your aileron servos are up to the job, this means powerful. If they are not, at high speed, aileron flutter can totally destroy your model in a dive.
