  1. Mine's nearly ready! C'mon Lee! My thumbs are getting twitchy!
  2. There seems to be 1/3 of my head missing. What's going on there?!! That was me enjoying Al's kind offer of flying his Easyglider. Just the job in today's light conditions.
  3. Tom's right - my W.Evo flew today when nothing else of mine could. I think Alex measured around 7mph on the hill, and we flew Weasels with much success*. * success if you're asking me that is, as I managed to knock the fin of Al's Weasel and send it spinning to the deck!  In today's light conditions though, Al's Easyglider flew beautifully. Aerobatic in what slope lift there was, it also shot up when thermals came through.  I do NOT want any more foam.I do NOT want any more foam. I do NOT want any more foam...
  4. I'm sure you said that flying wings were the devil's work, Tom, and that one would never learn how to fly properly with one?!  Get a Fox and a W.Evo Alan!
  5. Watch the fragile wing tips - perhaps judicious use of some cw tape needed there. Otherwise they're fine for a foamie Oh - and be sure to add a rudder well worth it
  6. Wow - that B6 clone looks perfect at that price - nice one Andy - I think that's me sorted!
  7. Not sure if this thread should be here, but what bit of kit do fellow glider guiders use to charge AND cycle their flight batteries?I've learned that cycling is vital for the health of our NIMHs, but which charger (not too expensive, mind) does the best job?I have a little JP 10A power supply for my Multiplex charger, so if folks recommend a non-mains charger it would be nice to keep that in use.
  8. Looks as though Timbo's been trying to catch his WT again
  9. We're distinctly lacking in easterly slopes around here - where are you?Edited By Matthew Lloyd on 05/03/2010 21:45:59
  10. Yeah - and it looks like we have at least a week of 'em  Damn these Easterlies!Edited By Matthew Lloyd on 05/03/2010 14:49:33
  11. Nice one Colin. Job well done. Now hit the slopes! Do you have an Easterly slope to hand?
  12. Nah Peewhit - Colin just needs to cut through the tape and swap 'em 'round, and re-position the horns at the ends of the elevons - no problem.Well worth doing Colin - it'll protect everything and make you ready for COMBAT!
  13. Colin! What have you done! You've gone and installed the servos the wrong way 'round! They should be INBOARD with the arms inside the fuz - well out of harm's way. Like this:
  14. Alex - you seem to have taken that photo whilst in a bike shop
  15. It looks as though you should make some threads 'sticky' Timbo, such as British EPP and Andy's articles...
  16. Posted by whacky on 25/02/2010 00:10:16:  Is that direct from the imstructions or your own guide lol   Both! Apart from the obvious addition of safety and a spot of BMFA membership, do as I did and enjoy
  17. Buy it. Build it. Chuck it. Walk to fetch it. Chuck it again.  Repeat until the penny drops The Wildthing won't mind whilst you learn - it'll keep coming back for more.
  18.  This is the beast that got me hooked good and proper, and still induces big grins.Best birthday present a man could ask for. Say no more
