  1. Great maiden flight after such an interesting build thread. Cheers! Dave
  2. That is such a lovely project. I must admit to be being sorely tempted! David
  3. Posted by PatMc on 15/05/2016 23:07:02: Dave, the kit's still available here Thanks PatMc. I had been trying to get one on eBay but missed out. I'd seen that the kit was still in production so will probably try to get one. Dave
  4. Wonder if it's the same Capstan I was after?😊 I had one many years ago and that one was finished with an iron on film. Dave

Dave I took quite a bit of video , so I shall be sitting down this evening with a cuppa and editing it into something that will hopefully be worth watching. Check out this space tomorrow or Wednesday. Steve Brilliant! Looking forward to watching. Cheers Dave

  11. Very disappointed I couldn't get to The Orme this weekend. I'm a complete novice (I don't count the fact I used to fly 30 or so years ago) so I was looking forward to meeting up with some fliers to ask all those inane questions! I must admit I'm quite taken with the idea of PSS flying. Hope to make to the Orme sometime. Cheers Dave
  12. Posted by Conwy Soarer on 26/03/2016 17:38:56: Plenty of sloping going on still, mostly on the Great Orme. I teach at St Davids College in Llandudno and run a club there, we fly the Orme,Conwy Mountain and also slopes on the West coast of Ynys Mon. Sundays are usually quite busy on the Orme especially if there is a bit of a blow. I have marked most of the local slopes on Google Maps just search Conwy and Coastal Slope Soaring or get in touch for some advice, there has been an increase in popularity in slope soaring of late and they are all a friendly bunch, head over the the Slope section or General Gliding section - lots of 'Gog' soarers there. See you on a slope sometime! PS Capstan was one of my first back in the 80's, must build one again sometime!! Thanks for the welcome. I'd seen gliders on the Orme when I've been there in the past and it was seeing them that planted the seed to get back in the air. Cheers Dave
