  1. Hi Flew the boomerang for the first time today. Fired up the sc46 and after a short wibbly take of run she flew. very surprsed at the performance, very responsive . Flew around for 6-8mins nothing fancy then came in to land. Slightly fast approach coupled with rough ground bent the nosewheel back a bit, soon bent back into place. First flight with a IC aircraft in 30+years . Flew the Spitfire on wednesday, first time I have flown until the Lipo is spent. Got the knack of hand-launching at last. Me Me again   Denise (Wife) my ground crew . Cheers Kelvin
  2. Hi Peter Sorry for the late reply trouble and strife on the home front , SC 46 fitted to my Boomerang (not flown yet). The B-25 looks good , all the electrickery talk between you and Timbo has given me a headache.. I must gen up on the electrical side of things. Cheers Kelvin
  3. Hi Peter Enjoying your blog, Just goes to show  how ARTF's need quite a bit of work/re-working to end up with a good model. Cheers Kelvin
  4. Not sure about Battleships but Tiger moths were used in a anti-submarine roll,  "plans were made to fit it with small bomb racks, and when a small unit of them sought German submarines around the Scottish Islands, its pilots mercilessly frozen by sea spray and tormented by droppings from the carrier-pigeon communications system in the front cockpit. (One Tiger did, in fact, find a submarine and manage with Very lights to summon Royal Navy units which sank it.)". cheers Kelvin
  5. Hi Had my Futaba 2.4 tranny checked yesterday, I was in the shop less than 5 minutes and all is well. Got a nice sticker on the back of my tranny now . I still think Futaba is great value. Kelvin
  6. Made a start tonight on the P-40 Went through all the bits and found some  wrinkles on the wing tips, sorted them out with the iron, apart from the wrinkles the build quality and covering is very good.  Wing tip wrinkle      Sorted  more soon
  7. Cheers David, Should have a yellow1 not the red2, but I do not know how to remove the original transfers? It looks good as a stand off scale model. I am impressed by the way both the Ripmax Spitfire and the 109 capture the look and feel of the real Spitfire and 109,some semi scale models leave a lot to be desired in this respect. Hope to start my new model soon the P-40E Warhawk. Kelvin
  8. Cheers David. My  hand launch is my weak spot, once in the air I am fine . May do a few more flights with the Spit before I try the 109. Kelvin
  9. Last three  pics,  JG51 markings. Next good weather hope to fly.
  10. I just remembered, you may have to add a bit of weight to the nose due to the brushless motor/lipoly set up being lighter than the original spec of a 600 brushed motor.
  11. I use HS81MG servos in my Spitfire and my Me109. Kelvin

Hi Barry Is this link any good?  http://www.warbirdcolors.com/ Kelvin
  13. I agree with Scott Tis a bit fragile. Worth a mention is the elevator, some reports of failure due to the strip of balsa joining the two halves not up to the job. may be a good idea to beef it up with a bit of piano wire. . Kelvin
  14. Scaled up a bit in the markings of   Josef Priller    JG51  Belgium 1940 Kelvin
