Thanks E.D. In the end I sent it to Weston UK for repair. They were very quick at fixing it, and charged a very reasonable fee. Not fired it up yet, but it feels right.

Anyone know how to get the prop driver off an RCV 90SP? I've managed to bend mine (flipped over on landing). The propshaft is straight, but the prop driver is wonky, and I want to strip it down to find the extent of the damage. It looks like I just need to get a puller on there, but I'm wary of doing that unless I know that's the correct way of doing it. Cheers, Dave

Eeeeh, I remember those Dutch guys at Woodvale. I was about 12 or 13 at the time (many moons ago). They were preparing to start the model, when my Dad turned to me and said "these things are LOUD, OK?" With the know-it-all bravado of youth, I just said "yeah Dad, they're noisy, I know". Just at that point, we heard a whumph....pop..pop.popopopo BWAAAAAAAAAAAAA noise that could have been farted from Satan himself. I jumped a mile, desperately resisting the temptation to just run away and cry... at which point my Dad turned to me, grinning like an idiot, and I couldn't hear a word he said. I'm guessing it was "told you so". Edited By David Ashby - RCME moderator on 21/05/2009 13:57:32

I've got a FCO 2. Initially, I had trouble with it - it would switch itself off in mid air. Something to do with the cold I think. Then the battery would run out completely after 3 flights. I've now hooked up a receiver battery to power it in flight, and it works really well. I took a futaba switch harness, and swapped the red and black wires on the RX plug. This fits into the socket on the FCO mount, and powers the camera nicely.

Peter - am I right in thinking that your system consists of a heavy flight box, with the starter sticking out - then you push the model into it? Sounds like a very good idea.
