1. Andy, You've done a splendid job! Congrats! What setup do you use?
2. I do believe that Richards calculations for the price was based on a batch of 10 units. I don't know how many we got on the list at the moment.
3. Is there a build thread for the 63" La7 somewhere?
4. Posted by jrman on 24/04/2017 13:32:14: Peter, I asked earlier in this thread whether anyone else wanted a 63" La7 and I think with you that makes 4 of us. There must be others! I'm on the La7 57" list. But if the 63" version is more likely to happen I can join that list
5. Geoff. Oh my goodness, that was just wonderful for both eyes and ears!
6. Looking good Pete! This build brings back some memories. The La7 was one of my first kits I built. And I sure made a lot of builder misstakes, such as using epoxy glue on almost all parts (hey, it cured faster than PVA ). It turned out a bit overweight, but that thing still flew! In fact this build thread have inspired me to get a new kit and give it another go ten years later So PM sent to Richard.
7. Sorry Jon I didn't ment to start a Glow vs Electric debate. I really do agree with you on several points. There are pros and cons in both camps for sure. What I ment to say is that a twin engined warbird is more approachable to people (at least for me) now that there are cheaper electric setups around. Because an engine failure can be a bit too exciting with a twin Obviously different planes behave differently when an engine stops. And I'm not saying it can never happen to a brushless motor.
8. I would love to see a kit for the Henschel 129! Also in 40/50-size. Because if you choose to go the electric route you don't have to go for broke with the batteries and other equipment. Not saying a twin will be cheap. But IMHO the size vs cost vs store/transport-size are at a very good level. Another pitch for the HS-129 is that there are no ARF-versions of this plane around. So it will be even more unique on the flying field. And the only kits that are available are for giant size.
