Second part of the wing build

I bought my last lot of 10 Type F from RC Japan a couple of weeks ago, £8 each, delivered. And yes they are genuine OS.

I can take no credit for the design or the build but I can attest to the fact that the rubber bands do a very good job of keeping the spoilers closed and it requires quite a bit of force to get them open!

How do we open the white cap on the tyre to fit the needle to inflate the tyre. I don't want to twist it or pull it in case it breaks. Can you explain how to remove the white cap.
Just pull it off, it's a tight fit.

I next tried wetting the concave side but that has made things worse
Wet the other side.
I’ve had the same thing on a couple of models so I just cut a slot through the balsa, across the grain, then glued a lolly stick in the slot whilst keeping the balsa flat. Worked a treat plus I got a lolly to eat. I would advise against Magnums as their sticks aren’t straight and can have facial hair.

Interesting Mike, why does T9 state 'please note this is not compatible with FrSky ACCESS protocol '?

Glad your move went OK Chris. I'll pick yours up when I get mine, no need to post!

I recently 'upgraded' from my trusty Prusa M3S to a Bambu Labs X1 Carbon. It is a very nice machine, not exactly plug and play but once various filament settings dialled in it is extremely good (and v quick!).

Didn’t you read the small print?
You may only purchase the next kit if you can prove that you have built either the FW190 or the Tempest. Failure to do so renders your order invalid. Please note that any monies hereto forewarned in lieu of dispatch of the next model will be forfeit and you will not be entitled to receipt of a refund because that’s the price you pay for being a smart arse and for trying to jump the progression. If you feel that these terms are unjust and an infringement of your rights as a human being, tough coz them’s the rules and if you don’t like them you are quite welcome to take it up with ‘the boys’, best of luck there.

See, I told you. 🤣

I reckon getting rid of 35 will be no problem Richard especially when we all see your finished example. I’m more concerned about B&Q running out of sample pots of paint.

The yellow one is a Tempest, the colours are that of a target tug, not a glorious finale for such a great aeroplane.
But at least it kept them going for a bit longer rather than being dumped on the scrap heap. Rudolf was much the same and I’m going to paint my belly yellow (lower down has already developed that colour naturally 🤮 🥴) to try and eke out a few more years too.

Despite the awful look (imo) I would be more concerned about landing and the wheels being pushed back through the wing as at those angles there will be very little, or no, give in the legs.
Regarding the CG, it’s correct when the model flies well and you’re not fighting it, irrespective of the actual measurement back from the LE.
