  1. I've got one of these and managed to snap the fuselage. Fixed it by sticking a golf club shaft down the fuz, using expanding foam to hold it, then a glass bandage sanded smooooth. works fine and is back in the air...Result!   it's a good wee glidder
  2. Mines currently up for grabs on e-bay   http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&item=190311813772
  3. The Thunder Tiger wing called the V-Bat was nice but fragile, no good for landing in the heather on a slope reallyEdited By Bustergrunt on 04/06/2009 19:14:27
  4. in answer to the first post however, i'd say it's not really comparable to anything else, as it's a childs toy which has been altered. the fuz is bendy as are the wings (although i dropped a carbon rod in mine to stiffen it all up). So 1. wing loading...dunno but as light as I can manage 2. twichy...can be if the rates are too high, i like to play with high and low rates depending on the wind speed 3. lifting capability...wots that?...it stays up well enough and keeps going up. 4. manoeuverability...yup lots (just not loops too much) buti can land it where i want and hand catcch it. 5. Speed, nope not really, it doesn't penetrate too well
  5. Well i was out this a.m. maidening my pitcheron Fox...once i'd trimmed it out i was very happy with it although still reluctant to loop. However I now have 2 of them, 1 x pitcheron and 1 x Ail/elev version...so i'll be getting rid of one to a flying mate, only he doesn't know it yet
  6. Here's a couple of pictures taken by Alastair Sutherland at the last Kielder fly-In, they're of my Twinstar converted to a seaplane...and here's the video of the build is on youtube under... Multiplex Twinstar 2 Floatplane conversion...check it out
  7. That's one cool little plane...I have a Limit Ex on my build list, right after I'e finished mt Obelix and kitted out my Multiplex Fox  with RC gear
  8. Oh cr*p...I've decided to get into heli's, I may as well burn my wallet apparently...cable for FMS ordered and twister storm to be purchased as soon as i can sell a plane or two to finance the deal.
  9. I'm off to Florida this year with wifie and sprogs, Aquastar costs $34=£17 so I'll be bringing a couple of kits back with me
  10. here's mine... A10 for EDF BD5 EE Lightning
  11. Excellent, I'm out there in august, now I know where to go!!
  12. Or is it a plan of the one pictured in this thread?
  13. Cheers DA, utterly perfect timing, is this balsa or depron and what span?
  14. The polikarpov is a kit which can be bought at 'fighteraces.com', unfortunately mine didn't go too well, probably my fault I'm afraid... I repaired it and gave it to a kid in my street as a toy, once I'd taken out all the R/C gear
  15. jolly nice Walrus...I'm seriously tempted to have a go at that...
  16. It flies so good,...i sold it recentley. seriously though, I'm going to get another and mod it a bit to make it better I reckon we're off to Florida on Hols next year and at $34 a shot, i'm going to bring a feew kits home and flog them to some club mates... As an R/E plane, it flies nicely on brushless and LiPo, 15 mins on a 1200 lipo easily
