I've got one of these and managed to snap the fuselage. Fixed it by sticking a golf club shaft down the fuz, using expanding foam to hold it, then a glass bandage sanded smooooth. works fine and is back in the air...Result! it's a good wee glidder -

The Thunder Tiger wing called the V-Bat was nice but fragile, no good for landing in the heather on a slope reallyEdited By Bustergrunt on 04/06/2009 19:14:27 -
MPX Fox RC performance
Bustergrunt replied to Matt Watts's topic in Gliders and Gliding - General Discussion
in answer to the first post however, i'd say it's not really comparable to anything else, as it's a childs toy which has been altered. the fuz is bendy as are the wings (although i dropped a carbon rod in mine to stiffen it all up). So 1. wing loading...dunno but as light as I can manage 2. twichy...can be if the rates are too high, i like to play with high and low rates depending on the wind speed 3. lifting capability...wots that?...it stays up well enough and keeps going up. 4. manoeuverability...yup lots (just not loops too much) buti can land it where i want and hand catcch it. 5. Speed, nope not really, it doesn't penetrate too well -

The polikarpov is a kit which can be bought at 'fighteraces.com', unfortunately mine didn't go too well, probably my fault I'm afraid... I repaired it and gave it to a kid in my street as a toy, once I'd taken out all the R/C gear -
jolly nice Walrus...I'm seriously tempted to have a go at that...

Bustergrunt replied to Glenn Howcroft's topic in Building from Traditional Kits and Plans
It flies so good,...i sold it recentley. seriously though, I'm going to get another and mod it a bit to make it better I reckon we're off to Florida on Hols next year and at $34 a shot, i'm going to bring a feew kits home and flog them to some club mates... As an R/E plane, it flies nicely on brushless and LiPo, 15 mins on a 1200 lipo easily -
