  3. Hi just wondering if any of you know what aircraft these are. The large one in the garden is about 7-8ft span with a zenoah 27cc engine. The smaller airframe is about 65 inches roughly wing span & takes a .60 engine roughly late 70's early 80's. I'am in the process of restoring them and cannot find any info on them anywhere. Thanks in advance Mark     Edited By sgt.barnes on 03/05/2013 11:52:17

  9. Would like to build one for old times sake, will photocopy, borrow or buy. Was the feature plan from aeromodeller april 1971 and was an 25inch free flight. Any help would be appreciated even just a photo. Thanks Mark
  10. I remember when I was a younger nipper in 1986 seeing at woodvale a new fangled electric powered plane. I think if memory serves me correctly it was by MFA and was released along with the Hummingbird ? a high wing version. I think If I remember DB's commentry correctly it was powered by a 540 or 600 motor and was called the Magifli or magic fly ??!! It has small winglets or plates on the wingtips and is a mid or low wing configuration. I would like to track down an example (any condition) or a plan plus/or any additional info or pics anything you may have that would help. Can raid the coffers if needed. Thanks in advance Mark
  11. Hi steve you can order this direct through tower hobbies in the USA but shipping may be high. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXNXB7&P=7 Hope this helps :)
  12. I have restored several old engines to new condition. An old engine hack told me about boiling them in just biological washing powder and boy does it work well, plus no nasty fumes or chemicals are given off. Plus a bonus is you can just wash the pan out and carry on boiling your spuds in it afterwards (dont tell the wife though)
  13. Hornet, Islander, Typhoon or how about all three ? :)
