  1. More covering, the last of the tricky bits. Wings and fuselage coming up. Cheers Steve
  2. Outerzone for free download. Link Ooops Peerless not VK Edited By EarlyBird on 17/01/2021 10:03:48
  3. Covering completed so far. Cheers Steve
  4. True KC the covering is a pain but this looks fine to me. It will fly anyway. Cheers Steve
  5. It does and I am KC. I hope this is OK as it took me five days to come up with it. I wonder how long it would take me to design a model. Cheers Steve
  6. More done using up scraps of covering. Getting there slowly. Cheers Steve
  7. This looks interesting. A mass build coming up? Obviously when the balsa supplies are back to normal. We just need a common theme, ideas?
  8. Cooking on gas today. Not brilliant but it will fly, one day. Cheers Steve
  9. It's been five days since my last post! Life, health, lock down and world news has been affecting me. Thanks as always for the support and as a result I have done a bit. Good news that I have started again but not very impressive. Cheers Steve
  10. LHF I agree with you. I see no advantage in not always balance charging.
  11. Posted by Matt Carlton on 10/01/2021 22:12:59: Where space is limited in terms of length (such as tank bays in IC conversions) is it possible to connect two lower capacity LiPo packs in parallel in order to use two smaller packs to make a shorter but wider pack? If that is possible, is it better to treat them separately, or to charge/balance the two packs simultaneously? I imagine they would need to be balanced against each other? I use two 2200 3S in parallel here is a photo from my RF-4 build I always balance charge them separately at the same time so they are at the same voltage when connected together, don't ask me why just seems a good idea. Cheers Steve
  12. Just like the one in your article that Sarik sent with the plan pack. Ten years ago and using 35mHz I see. I have seen Fun Fly models being flown by competent pilots and as you say what they could do was nobodies busyness. Today I have fitted the wing to the fuselage by inserting the dowel in the leading edge, fitting the wing bolt and adjusting the seating to fit. Not a lot to see just fiddly and time consuming. The wings are now ready for covering. Tomorrow back to the fuselage starting with the bottom sheeting from there I will play it by ear. One thing I will not be doing is going out of the house in these cold frosty slippery conditions. Cheers Steve
  13. Checking the assembly to work out what needs doing. Plenty of movement? Would that make good flaperons? Looks like it will be able to do extreme 3D/aerobatics, way beyond me though. Just a bit of fun Cheers Steve
  14. Let's hope not Peter but I fear that there will be, even at my slow build rate. The thing is Nigel I am not trying that hard as it's intended to be a quick build. What seems to be happening is that the building is becoming easier as I build more aeroplanes and consequently the quality is going up. I still make mistakes though but they are not as bad as on my first build. This is good practice for The Ohmen where hopefully there will be less mistakes. More fun today Yes a lot more sanding and shaping plus three hinges, one more than yesterday. I have to decide on the colours before long Red, White and Blue are patriotic so I read on another thread and that does seem like a good idea at the present time. Cheers Steve
  15. Yes KC I see what you mean. Not a lot yesterday. Just a bit of sanding and two hinges fitted, and not very good workmanship. No rush as there is a shortage of balsa and plenty of time in the workshop now Hang on what am I thinking I need to finish this and the RF-4 then there is The Ohmen waiting to be started. Plenty to do so it's onwards and upwards today. I'll be back. too many film references? Cheers Steve
  16. You saw my trap and said nothing Just adding to the fun As it happens I was going to draw the right aileron, as would be done with the wing, but then something told me I could just flip it over. To my complete surprise it obviously worked. Now I am trying to work out why this approach would not work with the wings. As this has a symmetrical wing it should work? Hmm maybe not. Thanks John, Cheers Steve
  17. Two left ailerons on the last post But by magic, not really, I just turned one over. Ailerons cleaned up and hinges fitted. Almost ready for covering just wing bolt plate and servo lead holes to cut. Cheers Steve
