  1. What a great flight line, on both days, and such a varied one, with something for everyone's taste.  Timbo I was the owner of the Pitts special  that was occupying the same space in time as your F86 Sabre, these things happen and  hope it didn't spoil your weekend to much.  All the best Dave      Edited By David Whitehouse on 27/06/2010 22:54:48
  2. Hi all Did my A cert at a Green Acres fun fly 4 year back  (wow that's gone quick)  Anyway I will be there.  Dave
  3. EQUIVALENT QUALIFICATIONS BMFA and SAA There is a reciprocal agreement between BMFA and the SAA to jointly recognise some of the various Achievement Scheme qualifications in the case of members moving between the Associations. This recognition will result in the automatic granting of a qualification in some cases and will work whichever way the member moves. The qualifications agreed are: The BMFA ‘A’, Fixed Wing and the SAA Bronze, Fixed Wing are accepted as equivalent .  Hope this helps  Dave
  4. Hi Guys, Just to let you all know that most, if not all of our instructors will be involved in setting up and helping to run the event... and hopefully sneaking a quick flight themselves  So I don't think there will be any training available on the fun fly days, (will double check and update if I am wrong ).  Like Dave say's further up, there's plenty of time to get your A' Certs.

  6. Thanks Phil It was a kit from Anglia models, still took me the best part of seven month to complete.
  7. Hi guys Mark 1 and 2 both had a fixed wheel arrangement, and caused problems on the flying field (not exactly a bowling green where I fly) and as soon as it hit a small bump would start to veer off with no means of correcting, (Take off aborted) My fun fighter not having a rudder and hand launching seems only a matter of time before it bites the dust. I decided to build the mark 111 with a stearable-trailing wheel, there is a receiver attached to the underside along with a batt and servo, utilising the rudder channel. Hopefully will give it ago this weekend if weather permits, will post results (good or bad) and some pics, thanks for the input and will include some of the design features mentioned in the mark 4, if this doesn’t work. Dave
  8. I Had the same plane and removed the stearable nose wheel because it caused problems on heavy ground. you dont need it, the plane will taxi just fine on the rudder only. Heavy landings can also strip your servo.
