From a local (Austrian) Buy/sell website. Has anyone ever seen one of these built and running? Cheers, Terry. https://www.willhaben.at/iad/kaufen-und-verkaufen/d/quarter-scale-merlin-v12-gussteile-bausatz-758726641

Alles Klar! Thanks for all replies. Terry. -
Does a 3 blade prop produce more thrust than a 2 blade ? Same Dia. same pitch, same R.P.M.

I seem to remember reading that dings in Elapor can be restored to original shape using hot water, but how hot, boiling ? Cheers, Terry.

I know this subject has been well aired on many forums, probably world wide. But I still have a question. I use one of these to store and charge my LiPo's, I don't know if they are available in the UK. My question is, does anybody have experience of this product actually containing and surviving a LiPo fire? Thanks Terry.

Why has my Tx lost bind with Rx
Terry Plumridge 1 replied to Terry Plumridge 1's topic in All Things Model Flying
Thanks Phil will go through that test procedure. It's a bit of a worry though, can it unbind while the aircraft is in the air? -
FlySky FS-I6x. My Tx is no longer bound to Rx in one model. Other models stored in memory are OK. What could cause this? Terry

MPX Easy Star 3 antenna position
Terry Plumridge 1 replied to Terry Plumridge 1's topic in Beginners
Thanks for the replies, everything now clear. -
FlySky FS-i6x Tx FlySky FS-ia6b Rx Easystar3. I am aware of the need for a 90 deg. configuration but cannot decide on the best place to put the antenna. Would completely inside the foam fuselage be OK. Thanks for any advice, Terry.

Aeromodelling at seventy-four.
Terry Plumridge 1 replied to David Davis's topic in All Things Model Flying
Me, 75, gorgeous younger wife, still playing drums in rock band, still riding motorbikes, spare bedroom full of big boys toys. Stay positive and glad to have such a life unlike other poor souls in the world. -
Thanks for the replies. Now I know what to do. Cheers, Terry.

Is there a limit to how cold a LiPo can be and still be used? I'm thinking of 2-3 deg. C. Colder than that I would not be flying anyhow.

Rudder / Elevator throws for a beginner
Terry Plumridge 1 replied to Terry Plumridge 1's topic in Beginners
Hi MattyB. Thanks, taken that advice on board. Just to clarify, I live out in the sticks in Austria with lots of open countryside, the rules here are pretty much the same I would say. -
Rudder / Elevator throws for a beginner
Terry Plumridge 1 replied to Terry Plumridge 1's topic in Beginners
Thanks for the advice. Nothing in the instructions. Wingspan is 1190 mm ( 46.85") don't know where the 40 comes from. It is an Aeronaut Lilliental 40. No teacher, going it alone, probably going to spend the winter on a simulator. -
Hi all. I have built this model, my first, and would like to know your recommendations for the amount of Rudder and Elevator throws?

Fly Sky Throttle hold question
Terry Plumridge 1 replied to Terry Plumridge 1's topic in Other Radio Brands
Thanks for the answer, pretty sure I have not used switch A before, but will check. -
FlySky FS-i6x. I have set the throttle hold to 0% and used switch "A". It kills the throttle OK, but also kills the output from the right stick. Cant find a way round this. Any help greatly appreciated. Cheers, Terry.

Difficulty connecting ESC to Motor
Terry Plumridge 1 posted a topic in Electric Flight for Beginners
I am using 2S Lipo and a 10 amp ESC. The bullet connectors on both ESC and motor leads are too big and very difficult to disconnect. Would it be ok to use servo extension lead connectors instead? They are 3 wire and easy to seperate. -
Control surface Failsafe settings.
Terry Plumridge 1 replied to Terry Plumridge 1's topic in Beginners
Thanks for the replies, lots to think about. Once I am confident at controlling the model I guess I could get it up to altitude and try different things out. One thought that I have is if I can reduce the motor (electric) speed so that the propellor is turning, but not providing any propulsion, it might act as a brake. Maybe that is already accepted practice, I am learning as I go. Cheers, Terry. -
Hi all. I am building a basic motor glider from Aeronaut. What would be the correct failsafe rudder and elevator deflections.
