  1. Been thoroughly enjoying reading this thread from the start, couldn't afford a Spatman back in the day but did have the mini Skyman. It flew so well it flew away with my precious Futaba 2CH gear onboard. Built a couple of gliders, powered and unpowered using the wing plan and they were great. One day I'll get around to building another. Thanks for the read everyone. Fun times.
  2. Lovely and calm here today. 2 paragliders and a trike. Enjoying the calm sky. Hope they were well wrapped up, it was a bit chilly...
  3. Hi Kevin. Beautiful day here today, bit breezy and frost stayed all day in my yard. Brrrrr! Supposed to be warm in Cornwall...😁
  4. I'm a cyano man myself. Zap thin mostly. I also use medium cyano from the builders merchants (as I am a builder). If I use a wood glue it's the evo stick blue as that is more water resistant. Never had a model fall apart from a failed glue joint with that. Many have fallen apart due to an additional gust of gravity......
  5. Thanks all for your warm welcomes. I feel right at home. I shall dive right in. This video from my YouTube shows both my strip and my flying style, just for introductory purposes of course. Other stripes and styles are available 😉
  6. Hi all. Just to introduce myself. Newbie to this forum, not so much to model aviation having been flying for 40 years this year. A 2 channel, Cox 049 powered Bowman's mini Skyman was my first plane. Can still get the plan online amazingly. Been through a heli phase and back to fixed wing. Mainly flying 3D style planes from 60" to 120". All electric. Not a member of a club but do have my own little strip. Hope to have a few good chats online with some of you. Chris
  7. Arr I see. It has been a while since I bought some lipos from him.
  8. Hi all, late to this party. I can't believe no one has mentioned George at 4-Max. I have had a few of his cells over the years and no puffiness in any. Like most I have had varied success with HK zippy compacts mostly good but I find longevity a bit short rather than puffed to death. My overlanders seem pretty good in 3900 and 6200 size. Recently I have purchased the China Hobby Line packs in 4000 6s Black 40c and also their 9500 racer pack. So far so good, no puffing detected various planes from 6s EF Turbo Raven for the 4000s to 12s Flex RV8 and EF 91 Extra for the 9500s.
