  1. I have sat on this kit and tripe plans for a very long time, but i know by the time i will get around to building it the wood will be ruined and image the engine not much good either. It has Jim Kiger replicraft plans of the Sopwith Triplane with some bits from a belair kit but really i brought the Mick Reeves pup with accessories to make use of the bit to build a tripe from the plans. Enough said here is the ad **LINK**
  2. Reluctant sale of new B25 Zirolli 101", purchased for long term project but it looks like my charity work is going to prevent the time i wanted to dedicate to it.   **LINK** Edited By BernieNUFC on 17/11/2013 12:02:50

  5. Posted by Pete B - Moderator on 21/07/2013 14:20:09: I might be getting the wrong end of the stick as I'm not sure what you are trying to do but would fitting a safety arming switch on the + between the pack and ESC help? That way you could assemble the model with the battery pack connected but not live, then arm it when you wish..... Pete fitted and working cheers
  6. Hi Pete It looks like this is the way to go, i have not seen one of these switches so i will google it now, thank you
  7. it is an esc that does not supply power to the receiver
  8. It takes quite a while to build the biplane up at the field, but even then once built i would want it sat in readiness to fly which could be for half an hour, at which point this tone would be going all the time cheers
  9. Thank you for reply Basically i used the throttle to configure it then moved it to aux2 set for trainer button (only non fixed switch). I will use it for a remote starter, but i need to connect it up before fitting the wing, so once connected i can fit wing and wait to fly, but currently it keeps making the tone when reciever is tunred off until i am ready to fly then it works as it should.
  10. Hi I have this happeneing below to my ESC which apparently is correct, "If the speed control signal from receiver is NOT present this tone signal (♪ is repeated 10 times and then stops for some seconds (about 6 seconds) and starts over again" I need to be able to connect the battery to the esc without the receiver having power (it is not being used for a throttle), i have looked at the programming chart but there is no mention of it. Does anyone know if i can do this? cheers

  12. thats great to know about a local store that cares
  13. Well it flew although needing a few tweaks it looked a part in the sky Slight prob getting the right prop as with a 30 dle and a 18x8 prop it flew on tickover . changing to a 19x6 to see what that is like, enjoyed that one and on to the next.
  14. Try Jim Perkins for any info as they were the distributors for Kalt in the 90's, might have something lying around, if not they might know where to go. As mentioned in its day it was the top of the range and they flew loverly in the right hands
  15. do these cutters cut the edge at an angle if required? cheers
  16. i dont buy a new car to smash it up so why should i go flying?
  17. Well i'll not argue with any advice given but i can tell you my side. For my first build i am doing a 1/4 Nieuport and no i cannot fly a plan either. It has taken me 6 months but it is just about ready for flying. A member of the club i belong to (The Flying Doc on here) has lent me a 7' model to learn with and i also have access to a club trainer, so i can start to learn whilst i get another member to test fly it so when i am ready its there, i also have a flight sim. So i say go for it, but find a club to join and learn to fly whilst you are building, best of both i say
  18. I am approaching the point to decide how to fit the elevator/stab to the fuselage framework. The elevator part is covered with Solartex with the frame to do, so do i just glue it down? or pin it screw it etc, any pointers would be good here many thanks
  19. I ordered from 'ZL Store Ltd' in London
  20. I recently purchased a DLE 30 based upon recomendations of their quality and was dissapointed to note that the prop washer was not as accurate as i would have expected. I sent an email to China expressing my dissapointment (politely of course) as was very surprised to receive a reply the following day. Over the next week and a number of emails the problem was identified and i am sorted. I am one of those people who tend to be loyal to companies with good service to me and indeed deal with several UK dealers rather than overseas on eBay because of this, so i can say that using a UK dealer for DLE i will indeed use them again. A first class service which i am pleased to tell. Edited By BernieNUFC on 18/04/2013 18:34:52 Edited By BernieNUFC on 18/04/2013 18:37:45
