  1. We’re lucky enough to be near Shuttleworth so get a regular dose of Spitfires, the Dragon Rapide and Provost, and an occasional Hurricane or P-51. Last weekend this riff raff interrupted our family BBQ.
  2. Beautiful classic design. Scaled up from Radio South plans. K&B 100 and enclosed tuned pipe. E Flite tricycle retracts. Mix of servos. Ideally needs re plumbing and recovering but flyable as is. Airframe 9/10 covering 4/10. Another project that I’m not likely to get to for a while. £350 obo. Would trade for Extreme Flight/AJS/3DHS Edge or Laser plus cash either way.
  3. Jase The Ace Dussia designed indoor/outdoor foamie. Set up with T-Motor 2304 and Gening D561 digital servos. Flies great but is surplus to needs. £100. Wingspan- 32” (6mm EPP) Weight- Approximately 175-195g Motor- T-Motor AT2303 or 2304 or equivalent ESC- 10-15amp (T-Motor AT12A available at JTA) Servos- 7g-12g (Spektrum A3030, MKS HV6100, EMax ES08, JR E397, etc.) Prop- 8”-9” (8” for 3S setup, 9” for 2S setup) Battery- 350-800mah 2S or 3S depending on motor/ESC combo max cell capabilities
  4. Seagull Bucker Jungmeister converted to electric with a 4-Max PO-5065 420kv on 6S. Was originally flown on a 120 4-stroke. Ready to go, just waiting for your receiver and batteries. Comes with carbon wing tubes and spares including wing panels, cockpit and cowl. Would trade for 70”+ Extreme Flight/AJ/OMP/Pilot Edge, Laser or Slick and cash either way. Seagulls 65' replica has been designed to suit popular .90 class two stroke or 1.20 class four strokes engines (or 20-22cc petrol) and four channel radio with six servos. Beautifully built from lightweight laser-cut balsa and ply parts then expertly covered with Oracover in this distinctive scale scheme belonging to the restored aircraft flown by Romanian Alex Panapa during the 1936 Olympics. Supplied complete with a full hardware pack, fuel tank, wheels etc. the model features a lightweight, factory painted woven fibreglass cowl and wheel covers. Scale touches include the pre-formed wire undercarriage, steerable tailwheel, characteristic rigging wires, cockpit instrument panel and pilot.
  5. Now sold. I shall endeavour to edit or delete the ad.
  6. This is a Stuart Mackay 25% Pitts Model 12 that’s unfortunately suffered during house move. This is the bare unflown airframe that is solid but it will need a new tail (stabs, elevator and rudder), wing tubes and recovering. It’ll take anything from a 120 to a 250 radial and should come in under 20kg depending on power plant. Will make a great winter project for a builder but I’ve just lost interest in building a giant Pitts
  7. I had a couple of messages pointing me to other people but no responses via email. Anyone on here with some Bordeaux Red off cuts?
  8. Looking for a partial roll or even scraps to patch some hangar rash.
  9. Ivel MAC invited us over to fly last week on one of the nicest veinings in weeks. Their local paparazzi got a nice pic of my Fox landing.
  10. It logs me out each and every time I navigate away from the page.
  11. Thanks guys, some good recommendations here. I like the looks of the Tasman and EZ so I’ll keep my out out for a good deal. Yeah, he’s 5 and probably borderline for learning to fly. But he’s keen, and I wasn’t much older when I learned. I don’t want to push him into it, but when he asks I want to have a dedicated trainer the he can fly. Even if it means he just bangs the sticks around for now. He’s got some depron chuck gliders that he takes out to the field with me. And if he’s having fun too, that’s all that matters. Update: he just explained to my wife that “I didn’t crash daddy’s airplane, daddy let me crash his airplane”. And unprompted explained that “we need to go buy a new one”!
  12. So today I entered into the market for a new trainer. This Arising Star was about 15-years old and on its last legs when I decided to start training my 5-year old on it. He’s developing his fine motor skills and mostly bangs the sticks around on buddy box. This morning he put it into a power dive from about 150 ft and just as I took back control the wings folded and it did it’s best impression of a badger. Now I learned to fly in the 80’s so I’m not up to speed with the modern crop of trainers so I’m asking you fine folks for some recommendations. I think I’d like to find an electric foamy for ease of set up. One that’s large enough that I can see it and will handle the wind a bit better than the park flyers, but stable enough that he’ll get some rewarding flights out of it and enjoy the experience. I’ve been having a great time recently with an FMS Fox which may be clouding my judgement. So I’m thinking a powered glider like my Fox, or something more traditional like a Carbon Cub, or maybe a bespoke trainer like a Bixler pusher? I fly Futaba so I’d rather not join the cult of Spektrum if I can avoid it. What’re your thoughts?
  13. Don’t know who came up with the idea, but these with a keyboard stand are superb! Thank you very much!
  14. Any links to the stands?
