  1. I say : 1 - Scottish Aviation Twin Pioneer            2 - Edgley Optica (for EDF)            3 - Beech 18
  2. Ian Peacock designed the "Bootlace" in the 70's and kitted it as "Miss Tangerine" I made mine orange & blue, can't remember if I used a Webra Speed 40 or a Merco 49. Foam wing & turtledeck.  Photo to follow, when I locate it in the loft!
  3. Get well soon Boddo, from a DB & DB Micro Mold model kit  fan.
  4.  I fly Mode 2    I fly in Southwest Scotland    I learned in  Southwest Scotland in the early 1970's    Instructor at the old Irvine Model Club
  5. I think  "TABOREA"  .... ie "Aerobat"  backwards would fit the bill !
  6. I was always fascinated by the Edgley Optica, it would be ideal for a ducted fan, and not a run of the mill job !!
  7. Anyone out there with a copy of the 1970's plan for a DB Hot 20 Pylon Racer?  It would be a good one to electrify as the old Club 20's were similar in dimensions to most of the medium size ARTF models of today. Anyone on the forum ever partaken in a Club 20 Pylon race? they were tremendous fun!
  8. If at first you don't succeed, try, try & try again.
  9. I picked up a Chiltern Models (Plan dated 1987 designed & drawn by John Gamlen) semi kit from a car boot at the Rufforth LMA show last year and I am at present building it for electric flight.. It has a 54" span foam / obeche wing, ply / balsa crutch build with obeche skinned foam decks and a very nice Glassfibre cowling and an excellent canopy.  I intend to power it with a Towerpro 35 or possibly E-Flight 46  with 3 or 4 cell Li-Polys. Doing one or two mods, ie aileron servos in each wing instead of a central servo using Bowden cables, and using a closed loop for the rudder.  I have hollowed out the front of the foam rear turtle deck to accomodate the rear cabin and lined it with 3mm white depron and fitted windows instead of painting them on.  I live very close to Prestwick where the Bulldogs were built, and  have admired them over many years, beautiful aircraft ! If anybody is interested, I will keep them posted on progress over the winter!
  10. As one of my favourite British aircraft, this one is for me!
  11. Howdy pardner, Texans are always welcome in Scotland!
