  1. Hi Ron, You're doing well with the build with excellent photos, I bought mine a week ago and its a two seat version. I'm bit of a slow builder with added time constraints through work. Anyway I'm hoping to lighten the airframe where I can such as making lightening holes in the ply fuselage sides and anywhere, where I could make holes without compromising strength, also planning to install a carbon tube in the wing and in the tail to give me a peace of mind. And to power it, I'm thinking petrol perhaps OS GT22.
  2. Hi, I rang BMFA office this afternoon highlighting the problem and they said that, yes there is a problem and there're working on it. Mac
  3. i was wondering whether this spacer came with the kit.
  4. Hi All, just a quick question regarding the AW XL, in the instruction booklet its says to centralise the fuel tank with a 'spacer' in the firewall. Now i'm sure if I should have had one with the kit. Anybody come across this and what method did you guys use. Thanks.
  5. Hi, it makes sense now how the supplied arm fits. I'm just wait on anti vibration mounts to arrive. Thanks for the photo.
  6. Hi Rich2, I'm glad your're happy with it, gives me confidence about the same purchase I made with chinoeuk2010. Only one thing I wasn't sure about is how the throttle arm is connected for the servo. I would appreciate if you could post a pic of your setup. Thanks Mac
  7. Hi all, Just wanted to know if any of you guys have reduced the length of the HT lead from the ignition module to the spark plug and what do you think of a IBEC unit (ignition battery elimination circuit). Thanks Mac
  8. I know that Hitec HT55835 HTS has a unit but its only exclusively for their telemetry module. It would be good if we could monitor fuel level, just like the elecy boys/gals can tell how much they have in their battery packs. This is not to say that im jealous... Mac
  9. I'm using messy smelly liquid as you put it, but also in the process of converting to petrol. Not too keen on elecy.... but that's just my preference. Mac
  10. Hi all, Yes that's true as I've also became a rightful owner of a DX9 in Feb, and I updated everything before playing around with the menu. To be honest i had converted my JR10x to 2.4Ghz and use spektrum receivers so rather than upgrading to the new JR, since I've had no problems with the spektrum (touch wood!!) it only made sense for me to go for this DX9. I've yet to fly it and fairly new to this radio. I have also purchased the telemetry module which am going to install in my acro wot to give me battery info. Does anybody know if there is a way of monitoring the fuel level with this module,.....or is that a different thread... Mac
  11. Ok thanks for your time and giving me the confidence. Mac
  12. Thanks for the reply but can you clarify what the insulator block is...- is it the black block that is between the engine and the carb? so when I undid the two hex screws the whole carb and the black block came off as one and I turned it 180 and screwed it back on.
  13. Hi all, Just a quick question on a dle35 ra, would I have an issue running the engine if I turned the carb 180 degrees, this is purely because the throttle control rod can have a straight run from the servo arm. Any thoughts? Mac
